Easy Security Update
Would RecommendI just purchase this lock today. Watched one video regarding install on YouTube. My actual install to replace an existing Kwikset locking door lock between my garage and hallway with this 955 only took a maximum of 30 minutes including setting two codes, and re-keying to our other Kwikset Entry Locks. Suggest laying everything out first by the steps you will take to install. Love how easy it works, and the ability to program multiple codes!

solid lock but beware
Would Recommendgood solid lock system. but after 5 weeks on the door, front handle fell off. small allen screw holding came loose and handle came off in wife hand. when I tried to put back on, allen key screw was stripped and would not hold. had to find a real screw to replace it. no longer flush with handle, but it won't fall off now.

problematic engineering
Bought 3 of these for convenience . Ig you have a storm door the exterior lever sticks out so far you have trouble closing and engaging the dead bolt. There does not seem to be an option to replace the outside lever with a knob. This would solve the problem. As it is I have 3 of these that are a pain because of the pressure you must use to get the door closed to engage the dead bolt.

Easy to install and functional

The instructions were easy. When the battery runs low, it beeps and flashes to alert you of the low battery. It also comes with a key in case the battery dies. Out of box failure - programable lock software
We purchased three of these locks to replace aging locks on a business. Out of the box inspection noted they were light and contained one plastic cover. Not a commercial grade lock. After installing and carefully reading the directions we attempted to add the user codes. It would not accept them.
