You can program up to 30 user access codes that can be customized for sharing with employees, maintenance personnel and service professionals. SmartCode 955 is easy to install, program and use, and operates on one 9 Volt battery. It also features SmartKey Security as the back-up keyway. This entry lever can be locked or unlocked by using the keypad or key from the outside as well as the turn button from the inside. Not for High Traffic Entries
I purchased this lock for our business and it started having issues soon after installation. The face plate moves and the screws had to constantly be retightened. Also, the handle started sticking and had to be repaired twice. This lock would be ideal for low traffic entries, but had to replace with a more industrial type lock.

Lock stopped working in cold weather
We purchased this lock about a year ago. It worked great for 3-4 months and then once it got cold, it seized up and stopped working. I got locked out of my house in single digit degree weather. Once I finally got back in, I took all the recommended steps to reset the lock, try a new battery, and completely reinstall the lock - nothing worked. Worse yet, I have taken this back to Lowe's multiple times, and they do not even sell it in the store (except when I purchased it). They claim someone prob...

Kwikset 955 Smartkey lock
The installation was fairly easy since it was replacing my old sledge one. But, I dropped one of the handles and the finish chipped a bit.
