Auto lock a must for those with kids...

I have installed over a dozen of these for friends over the last couple years. Absolutely love them, especially the pin switch to set a 32nd auto lock on the deadbolt. I never have to wonder if the doors are locked or not.

Keyless entry

I bought these 2 locks 8 years ago,and are working very well. I have been impressed with their warranty.

Very satisfied

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've purchased 4 of these for my rental units and they have worked out great. I suggest always using the Mastercode feature so tenants can't change your set codes. Change batteries yearly. The locks are easy to install and use and are very reliable.

Great product

Get the video on utube to show you how to install it. The only disappointment was that the feature that lets you re key it did not work with my old key. The key ways were different.

Corrosion resistance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a Kwikset electronic deadbolt that had lifetime warranty on finish. After one year there was corrosion on the outside. We live close to the ocean which is a corrosive atmosphere. Why not make a product in stainless steel that would withstand corrosion in coastal areas - a true lifetime finish? You could be ahead of the competion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] JUST INSTALLED THIS LOCK AND I MUST SAY THE LOCK HAS A CLASSY LOOK AND WORKS VERY SMOOTH. THE LOCK BARREL IS MADE OF QUALITY METAL AND IT IS HEAVY, MEANING IT IS MADE SOLIDLY. THE KEYPAD BUTTONS PUSH EASILY AND COME BACK OUT ALL THE WAY. I HAD A DIFFERENT COMBO LOCK THERE BEFORE AND THE KEYPAD BUTTONS ALL WAYS GOT STUCK. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. I REALLY LIKE THAT IT IS A COMB. LOCK AND YOU CAN ALSO USE A KEY IF SOMETHING DID HAPPEN TO THE ELECTRO...

Finish wears off after a few years

I liked this product for the cost and functionality. Finish wears down and starts peeling, lock can seize up after a couple of years as well.

Had issue with lock

I had an issue with the lock. Kwikset made it right. Replaced it with a new one. Fast turnaround.

The worst!

This product does not work. It is almost impossible to get hold of someone to help with the installation. When I finally got hold of someone, they told me the product was faulty and they would send me a new one. The sent 3 new ones and none of them worked. Even a professional locksmith was unable to install it.

Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two SMART CODE 909 locks in November 2017, I installed one on front door one on side door,on front door I had to replace batteries every 3-4 weeks side door 0 times(5-20-18).Kwikset was very kind/courteous to replace front lock.

I received this as a replacement for a discontinued SmartCode model. The process was simple and hassle free. Kwikset has earned my loyalty as a result.

Don't become to reliant on this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchase this product in October and we've had a few issues with it here and there, but this last one really has me considering going back to a regular lock with a key. My fiancé and I came home from an evening out and tried to unlock the door. We found the keypad lit, which was odd, but what's worse is that is was unresponsive. We sat outside for an hour to let it reset, and nothing changed. We ended up jumping our 6' privacy fence, and ...

We use the heck out this
