Doesn't fit

The old trimmer head is no good and had to be replaced. This replacement part does not have the correct threads to fit the shaft on the motor. Completely useless.

Does not match KOBALT kst 2580-06, 80 volt. The screw shaft is a larger size.

Wrong way thread for my older 80 volt Kobalt

Wrong way thread for my older 80 volt Kobalt trimmer. I am 70 years old and have had two of the trimmers for about 4 or 5 years now. I was disappointed to be forced to buy a new 80 volt trimmer only because the thread was wrong, but product indicated it was for an 80 volt Kobalt trimmer. No model numbers were noted on the the product information.

It says universal fit when it was ordered, but when the box came in, it only fit the Kobalt 80 V and of course mine 40 V and it did not fit. So I returned it. If you’re sale the Kobalt products you should have replacement parts available and there are none. Of course my five-year warranty ran out a month ago so now I have a pile of junk.

I needed replacement head for a 24-volt Kobalt string trimmer. This item came up as the result in the search on the Lowe’s website. Once received, the box states 80-volt. This item is too big for a 24-volt trimmer. Apparently, a replacement does not exist for a 24-volt Kobalt string trimmer. Disappointed that Lowe’s doesn’t state that outright. Does not fit KST 2580-06

As with other 1 star comments, this product does fit my weed trimmer KST 2580-06. The drive shaft threads are not aligning with this product's thread. Very much disappointed...

I have been trying to buy a string head replacement for my 40-volt grass trimmer for about a year and a half. This new universal replacement from Kobalt was supposed to be the solution. It did not fit either. So, Kobalt wins. I have to buy a new Kobalt trimmer to go with all my Kobalt batteries and chargers.
