Used to be great knives, just needs one part fixed
I have used these knives for years. I really fell in love with the quick access blade change, and I can have 5 fresh blades in the knife to start the day. I went to these after using the typical cross screw type knives....super annoying. Anyway I recently purchased three of these Kobalt's for a house we were working on. The most Frustrating Utility Knife I've Ever Owned
Would Not RecommendThe concept of an easy blade change is great. The knife feels good in your hand. The problem is the slide to open the knife on the side. I have lost track of how often I have gone to use the knife, pulling it out of a pocket or tool bag and the slide button gets bumped and the knife springs open, usually dropping the blade to the floor. If not for that, it is a great knife but with that constantly happening it makes simple things frustrating
