More accurate than my previous cheaper infrared thermometer. Super handy tool - helped troubleshoot broken seat heater and adjust central heating for different rooms. Worth the extra few dollars imho as the multiple point detection does seem to significantly improve accuracy.

Would RecommendSeems to work well but I can't remark on it's accuracy. I use it to check my wood stove temperature. I have several magnetic thermometers with highly varying results so I thought this might be better. The packaging claims it has 12 functions but the included instructions do not go into any detail about the functions. The instructions are mostly government required warnings.

Would Not RecommendPurchased this to use on my griddle to check the temperature. It worked once when I first put the batteries in. Tried to use it a second time about a week later and it won't even come on. Changed the batteries and it still doesn't work.

Trigger needs a lock while storing. Saves battery.
Would RecommendThe battery compartment door has a very small phillips head screw. Some people may not have a tool small enough to access this compartment to install / remove batteries. Basically making them buy another tool just to change batteries. Manufacturer should supply larger screw to secure battery door.
