Would Not RecommendThis trimmer line was suggested to me by a Lowe's rep. It does not replace the spool needed in KST 1040B-03 which is the Kobalt Gen4 40V 15-in Straight Cordless Trimmer. I purchased the trimmer as a part of the Item #3809907 - Kobalt Gen4 4-Piece 40-volt Cordless Power Equipment Combo Kit. I'm yet to see a true replacement for my Gen4 trimmer in a Lowe's store. These spools do not fit on the 40V Kobalt string trimmer. Don’t buy these when you buy the trimmer. You must wind your own string on them.

Don’t trust what the package says, check it out.
Would Not RecommendThe weed eater is suppose to be easy snap off and snap on however the spool doesn’t even fit the weed eater. I came in the store, they couldn’t help me I called the manufacturer and they couldn’t either. I suggest you check out the refills before making your purchase. They told us we have to wind the cord ourselves. We are stuck with the weed eater.
