What happened to quality control?

I noticed what looked like heavy scratching on the side of the aluminum table, when I first opened the box, and thought that this was a re-boxed return, at first. The other parts I could see in the box looked new. So I took out only the table, and there were several areas with visible defects/pitting/corrosion in the table surface. This is unacceptable and should never have left the mfg. Don't waste people's time like this. Look at other reviews, their lack of QA is doing a great injustice t...

Easy to use and good value

I purchased both the Kobalt 24v cordless router as well as the corded router with the table. My wife questioned why I needed two routers. I explained that the 24v router was more mobile, allowing me to work on trim work throughout the house and the corded router with the table was more accurate and better to use for larger projects like making cabinet doors. Great budget option

Inexpensive but I prefer this aluminum table top over mdf anyday, plastic legs are suprisingly sturdy.

Keeps Husbands Entertained

My husband said this was the best tool hands down! He played with it for several hours in the garage.

poor quality table and lift

lift system can't carry the weight of the router and slips when raising. also when backing off there is a good turn and a half before the bit starts to drop. literally impossible to get the bit height set. worst tool in my shop

its terrible its hard to change bits. it doesn't adjustment well. it binds overall junk

No replacement saefty key available

This router works fine. My issue is that if you lose your safety key. There is no replacement keys. I called Lowes, Kobalt, and Chervon ( the MFG of the table) and all said "no replacement key available. Keys can easily get lost or broken, They are only plastic.

Very poor quality control ,

The table surface is quite rough not allowing for wood to slide smoothly across it . The miter gauge is cheap and flimsy with the miter slot not accepting a better quality unit . The switch assembly is to be mounted in a way it interfers with unlocking the router to adjust the height . The router height adjustment gears are sloppy and needs to be shimmed to get them tighter . I rarely write reviews. I had an old (about 25 years) router table that the router quit working on. The router broke and none of the 3 other routers I had would work on that table. I really just wanted the table, but for the price, I thought it made sense to take a chance on this table and router. I just used it this weekend and am very pleased with the table. could do better, good table, fair router

major problem is the secondary safty switch i prefer to have a positive on switch, in about 20 minutes of initial opperation i managed to accidentaly turn it on several times, with bit engaged, tools on the table, i much prefrer the hercules table saw saw switch, that has a recessed on switch, that requires an intended push to on, yet a slap stop cover. the ability to have the a secondary tool turned on, at the same time, i have been trying to set up a finger jointing bit that i have used with a...

Good basic router & table

I like the aluminum table top and the finger boards. I like the two-piece fence but it takes a little to setup and adjust. This router table serves my purposes and for the price it was a good deal. Assembly was easy as long as you study the parts and hardware and pay attention to the instructions. I would give it 5 stars except for the fence adjustment being a little tedious. I suspect as I get used to it I won’t give the fence a second thought.

It's worth the price.

I purchased this router combo for $147.00. Then 2 weeks later it was on sale of $122.00. I was told by a Lowe's employee that Lowe's does not refund the difference in price of an item that goes on sale 2 weeks after the original purchase. I was told that I would have to return the item and then re-purchase it at the lower price.
