Many customers found the product effective for cutting through various materials like steel, chains, and fences, praising its power and construction. However, some reported issues with the cutters' performance, especially when cutting through hardened locks and padlocks. Several users mentioned the cutting edges becoming dented or damaged after limited use, rendering the tool ineffective for tougher materials. Would RecommendI like the ease with which these cut. I cut through some thick security cable that the last property manager left on my newly purchased property. Definitely recommend to the others and especially for the price point.
Best bolt cutters for consumers
Would RecommendBest bolt cutters I have ever had. These cut through anything. Excellent for all of my DIY projects.
Long handles
Would RecommendNice long handles. Easily cut through the barb wire I was cutting.
Cheaply made
Would Not RecommendIt is made out of cheap metal. I only cut 1 lock and it chipped the metal on the tool and now its dull.
Poor tolerance
Would Not RecommendThere is a screw which is supposed to enable you to adjust the cutting gap. However, it does not adjust the gap, only the ability to close the arms so ultimately you cannot adjust the gap so that the cutters meet. Making the tool useless for small diameter objects.
Weak handles
Would Not RecommendSeemed nicely built but the handles both buckled before they made any real impact on the padlock I was trying to cut. This despite the additional leverage of the 24 inch handles. I’d look elsewhere for bolt cutters if you’re trying to remove a Master lock or any hardened steel.
