hit or miss, but overall good tool
Would RecommendFirst one I had lasted about 2 years and they warrantied it. The second one lasted 6 years and technically still works for very light duty items, anything heavy duty and it will jam up the motor and make a squealing noise and stop the blade. Overall, I can't complain. I used the living crap out of the second one.....one thing I wish they would do is bring back the free 4AH battery and charger....wtf am I supposed to do with 2AH....worthless battery time.

Using for pruning. Difficult to insert blade
Would RecommendI bought this primarily for cutting off thick, hard stems from blueberry plants. The straight-back holding position should work well for the horizontal cuts, and you can hold the front of the saw body for stabilization. To insert the blade you have to twist a very tight ring. I could barely move it with my hands. I was able to twist the ring using Irwin 10-in GrooveLock plier and insert a saw blade.
disappointing disposable tool
Would Not RecommendWorked really well until, after two years, it didn’t. Didn’t take it back while still under warranty due to personal disruptions. Want to have it repaired now but Lowe’s says it can’t be serviced. So their Kobalt power tools are disposable once the warranty expires. How GREEN is that? Too bad I invested in the Kobalt platform including 6 cordless tools. Better off going to that cheapo tool store than buying the Kobalt line.
