What Customers Are Saying
The tool is efficient at cutting various types of plastic pipes up to 2-3/8" in diameter, including PVC, CPVC, PP, PEX, PE, and POLY. It can make smooth, clean, and straight cuts with minimal effort. However, it may struggle with thicker or older pipes, and users have reported occasional difficulty achieving perfectly straight cuts, especially on larger diameter pipes. The blade's durability and availability of replacement blades have also been a concern for some users.

works great
Great, cuts like butter
Would RecommendI like that it waa easy to cit through the pvc pipe. The handles fit int he hand nicely. To use the cutter, no stress is put on the hand and fingers, so when cutting a lot of pipe, the hand isnt fatifued. Though this doesnt affect the quality of the cutter, when opening it to squeeze, it must be all the way opened before squeezing, otherwise it wont engage. It would be nice to have more settings for the cutter to engage instead of having to open it all the way up every time.

Works well at first, then after intermittent use for around 6 months it will fail. This is my 3rd return / replace. I bought because they advertise life-time warranty. Back to the store to replace again.... I am wondering if a battery operated unit will be better.
Trash!
Would Not RecommendDo not buy. Ratchet function slips and hurts your hand..
Garbage tool
Would Not RecommendWhen it does cut it isn't straight. Even on brand new pipe if you need to cut a small piece it cracks and shatters the pipe. Waste of money. We pulled our old cutter out of storage and the difference was night and day. Old cutter was an Irwin and cut clean and straight on the same piece of pipe.
Does what it is supposed to
Would Not RecommendIt does what it needs to. My disappointment is the clasp that holds the handles together. There might as not even be one there. It is a poorly designed clasp. It does not work or stay in place to hold the handles together for storage. I currently use a zip tie to hold it together when this is not in use.
Quality tool
Would RecommendEasy to use works like a charm

Not a quality Product
Would Not RecommendPoor quality mechanics of this pipe cutter. In cutting pipe, the ratcheting mechanism fails to catch each time and feels of loose. I had one from a discount tool store (HF) and it had a better feel than this does.
Inconsistent results
Would Not RecommendI've had mixed experiences with this - sometimes I can get it to cut really well, but a lot of times it just struggles to make a clean cut.

Shattered my 2" PVC Pipe- shot debris in my face
Would Not RecommendI purchased this Kobalt 2-in PVC Cutter to cut 2" PVC Pipe. I made two cuts and it worked but the tool was very difficult to squeeze. When making the third cut the pipe crushed and shattered, Ruined my pipe. Thank God I was wearing eye protection as the pieces flew into my face. Do not purchase this item. Dangerous.
Dullest least accurate PVC cutter ever purchased
Would Not RecommendBlade is loose and very dull from the first cut. I wasn't able to find my usual cutter and grab this one while at the store getting other things I needed. Completely worthless. Blade drifts left or right under the pressure of every cut. Breaks PVC pipe better then cutting it. Do not buy
pick any angle but strait.
Would Not RecommendThis tool powered through the 2 inch pvc well, however, with every cut came a random angle, but the cut was strait. Some were near a 1/4 inch difference from one side of the pipe to the other. The blade is loose and can be jiggled in the tool even before starting a cut. I will be returning.
