Applied to old wood windows before glazing

Would Recommend

I am working on an older house with traditional wood sash windows. The glazing in most of the windows was falling out which left the wood exposed. I bought the Linseed oil to put on the bare wood after cleaning out the old glazing compound. I also bought oil based glazing compound from Lowe’s. You always want to use either oil based paint or put the Linseed oil on the bare wood to keep the new glazing compound from drying out too quickly and having the same problem again with the new glazing co...

Good for preserving weathered wood.

Would Recommend

I use this on my garden tool handles and back wood railing. While spraying the railing some hit the faded metal storm door and look pretty darn good. I brushed some on the door and it looks really well. Since it is for wood, it is a might sticky on the metal because it can't sink in. But it looks like new!!! Lucky accident.

Thicker than what I'm used to.

Would Recommend

The only choice I had, it's pretty good but much thicker and is stickier on wood than I would like.

Dispose of rags properly

Would Recommend

Make sure you dispose of your rags properly. lay them out to dry before discarding in the trash or you risk a fire due to the polymerization process. The rags themselves will get warm as this process occurs. Depending on what is in your trashcan it can cause a fire.
