It takes way too long to toast anything. The toasting is way too inconsistent with the same product. It seems the bagel option is on all the time, the front side is hardly ever toasted. I do alot od sourdough and 1 side is toasted and the other is not. i emailed ABT yesterday and asked for a replacement!

Great features
I love this toaster! I tried another brand name toaster but the lever wouldn't stay down and returned it. A friend liked her KitchenAid toaster so I bought one. So glad I did. I particularly like the cancel button. I make all my own bread and the slots accommodate taller bread which I also appreciate. So glad I purchased this one.

Nice Plain Toaster
Would RecommendI was always a Hamilton Beach supporter. They made the small appliances in my hometown of Waterbury, CT. Like some many other companies they left the country and went overseas. Simple fact, cheap items, don’t last, cause fires. Very happy with our Kitchen Aid toaster.

Toast muffin or bagel
Would RecommendHad it for a year now and love the fact I can do muffins for the grandkids, bagels for my daughter and toast for my wife and have done a couple of pop up bars for the great-granddaughter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both the original toaster and the replacement only toasted on one side. Returned both. Called support and was as asked if I had tried the trouble shooting procedure. Told the person I had with same results. I was told no refund but could upgrade and pay the difference. Not sure if I want another toaster from your company.

Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nicely styled appliance but variable adjustable scale for degree of toasties is not linear. On scale of 0 to 5, 3 bearly warms the bread so lower half of adjustment is useless

One Side Burns
I bought this toaster thinking the KITCHEN AID name would provide a 'quality' product. What a disappointment! When toasting a slice of white bread on #2 setting, the bread facing the inside burner is almost totally burnt. Toasting another slice at the #1 setting the inside is much darker but not burnt. Apparently that side of the bread in getting additional heat from the other side of toaster. POOR design! I should had paid attention to more customer reviews as I just saw another complaint...

KitchenAid is great; this toaster has a problem
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’re currently on our third version of this toaster thanks to KitchenAid’s excellent warranty but this toaster has a design flaw. It will only toast one side of the bread. The side of the bread closest to the outside edge of the toaster will not toast. It can be either the right or left side. Do not get this toaster. We’ve decided to give up on it.
