Hasn't worked right since day 1

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has not worked properly since day 1, and they do not have anyone in the area that can service it. I can not order a new one because they are out of stock. I am very disappointed that I spent this much money on an appliance that doesn't work and can't be serviced.

Microwave Failed

I have had this microwave for about three years with very little use. The microwave failed to heat and had multiple attempts to repair. Poor quality and reliability.

Poor Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to replace it after 10 years with minimal use. There are only 2 people in the house and it was only used to heat things up on occasion. KitchenAid has seriously gone down in quality.

Could be easy to use.

Easily overheats and uneven cooking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Given the price of this microwave, I'm really disappointed. It easily overheats and needs a lot of time to cool down before you can use it again, which makes it very inefficient. It' also heats unevenly. I have found that I have to place things close to the outside edges in order to heat semi-evenly. Big, big disappointment and not worth the money at all.

LOVE IT! EASY TO OPERATE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unlike the oven, the microwave is very easy to use and has been working wonderfully. We like the door opening out instead of sideways and it is obviously of great quality.

Missing features

Great Looking and Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced the earlier model of this built-in microwave after 20 long years of service !! This new model fit perfectly and installed in only 30 minutes. It is operating just fine.

Works well. Time setting wheel feels a bit clunky.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had the microwave for over a month now. It does an excellent job of heating food. Manually setting the time to heat something up is a bit clunky with a push button that then extends out to a wheel that you turn to adjust time. Other than that, no complaints.

Rather disappointing name brand.

Minimum features compared to my old one and needs a much more sturdier inside turntable rack. Store model demo was not great. Way too expensive for what you think you’re getting based on name brand.

New Stainless Steel…

Doesn’t Rotate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave does not rotate. I don’t know why. Everything was installed according to the instructions. I spent over an hour on the phone trying to schedule service. Instead of scheduling service to fix my brand new microwave, they spent an hour trying to get me to spend more money on a warranty I told them I didn’t want. I just want my microwave to work.

Built in Beauty

What an appliance! Incredible addition to our Kitchenaid kitchen. Very user friendly. A sleek industrial package all in one. Love the pull open door! Pairs nicely with my entire Kitchenaid commercial styled kitchen. Great product... performance, look and price. Seriously, could not even fathom creating any food without my Kitchenaid appliances, all of them!

Very nice looking microwave with all the features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice looking microwave with all the features. Nice touch with the pop out dial control. Easy to use with some of the heating/cooking instructions/times inside on the door. So far so good, the defrost and reheat has worked great!

Design flaws abound.

Door latch is problematic. Have had this unit for 5 years and latch replaced twice. To change light bulb requires taking the whole unit apart. Performance varies greatly. Do not buy

Bad Digital Keypad

Have had this unit for just under 5 years and like others have responded on here, the touchpad suddenly died. Had an authorized repair company assess it and they informed me that we needed part W10891907, which they said they ordered. 4 months later, they cannot tell me when the part may arrive. Based on my reading of the parts covered for 5 years, as opposed to 1 year, this part may qualify, but at this point, I just want it fixed. Why isn't this part available???
