plastic backing
Would Not RecommendI'd have preferred a real wood veneer. I used this as veneer applied to a glue-laminated wood mantle, to hide the laminated edge. It did work okay but I truly would have preferred plain wood veneer because the cut edge doesn't come out as clean on the plastic as it would on wood, and it is impossible to sand it down to a fine finish. One day I'll strip it off and replace it with something else. Cheaper is not always better.
