Poor design for the classic

I bought this for my classic and I’m not impressed. The basket sits too high to use the divide plates when cooking indirect. The basket needs to be removed and the cast iron grate at the bottom replaced to cook indirect. Also, grates and inner ring have to be removed to shake the coals in basket. Waste of money!!

Big Joe Basket

A must have. A significant upgrade from the OEM setup. It comes with a divider which enhances your ability for smaller fires and more delicate cooks.

Wrong basket

My wife bought me the basket for my Vision S-Series grill, not knowing the basket would not fit, I need to return it for refund. Can you please contact me, so I can get a return label to ship it back.

Charcoal Basket & the Ceramic Reflectors

The basket is nice but if I use it, I cannot use my ceramic reflectors. Seems there was an oversight here in design. Easy answer was to redesigning your ceramic reflectors to accomodate this basket augmentation.

The Kamado Joe Big Joe is a Big Hit!!

I had a Komatsu style grille before and it was Ok, but the Kamado Joe is next-level! It’s like comparing a Toyota to a Lexus, they are both excellent cars but the fit and finish and touches of the Lexus make it stand out and so it is with these grilles. The online buying experience was also excellent with frequent updates as to the status of the order and setup of the delivery. This is a HUGE heavy grille so make sure you have help to place it! Zero regrets and I’m not sure what else I would put...

Still figuring it out

Bought BJ in late April or early May. I've cooked on it at lest once per week. Some weeks several cooks. I'm having difficulty keeping the Temps in range with the basket but it's a learning curve. I'm getting a feel for it the more I cook.

Makes cleaning my grill and saving useable so easy

Amazing high quality and function! Beautiful heavy chrome with openings to save charcoal big enough to reuse. Lift it out to clean the grill and no picking through or waste.

Great basket

There is so much airflow to the charcoal it unbelievable. Just pick it up a little and shake. All the ash and very small pieces fall apart to the ash pan. Definitely worth the cost.

Great accessory but it rusted very quickly

One of those "must have" accessories if I do say so myself. Helps with loading charcoal, increased airflow, and helping with reuse of charcoal that is not fully consumed in a cook. My only issue with it, is that after only about a year of cooking the entire basket is a rusted mess. I was expecting stainless steel to be a bit more resilient. Makes me wonder about longevity. Perhaps this corrosion is normal given the high temps in the Kamado.
