Good product

I have a KOHLER SANTA ROSA 1,28 GPF COMPACT. Toilet. I noticed some water on the base and floor and discovered that there was a trickle through a tiny hole the size of a pin head at the top of the bowl, When I flush, water trickles down, Is this hole there for a purpose or is it a defect on this bowl .If so how can this matter be rectified

I could've gotten a less expensive toilet for a third of the price. But I wanted a 1 piece. So, my biggest complaint is- at the top of the tank where it meets the lid- there is a visible yellow line- where there is no glaze on the bottom of the lid or top of the tank. I just think a $330 toilet would be perfect. In Kohler's defense- they did compensate me.

Love the quiet close

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought one in almond and one in white and we are quite happy with these toilets. They are easier to clean, and flush efficiently. The quiet close is a great bonus but we are still getting used to not having to put the seat all the way down.

Our second one

We recently had new floors put in most of our house and instead of reinstalling the existing toilet we bought one of these. We installed one in another bathroom and are happy with its performance. While most will like the higher seat, I am one of those that does not. If manufacturers hadn't crept the seat height up, no one would need a squatty potty to adjust their body position to where it was intended when toilets were invented. That's just me I'm sure, though.

Great toilet replaced the 18 year old version of this

Bads and Goods

This toilet could be great, but corners were obviously cut in manufacturing. The porcelain coating does not cover the top lip of the water tank, leaving a dull yellow-ish lip showing at all times with the lid on. Additionally, this one had a hair baked into the outside of the clear-coat right in the middle front. The included seat looks lovely, but it made from thin, cheap plastic that isn't as high quality as even LEGO uses.....it pops and creaks with every use and movement. If it wasn't such a...

Awesome Addition

Replaced a small low-flush with this toilet - what a great buy! Ordered online and shipped to home - delivered in two weeks undamaged along with a BioBidet seat which was the best decision. We love the slow closing seat and how clean the bowl seems to stay. Highly recommend!

Comfort Height

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second comfort height toilet and we really appreciate it. The one-piece look is mighty fine for this necessary bathroom fixture.

2nd purchase

We like this toilet so much we replaced our other toilet upstairs with the same one. One touch and whoosh, it quickly flushes everything down. No holding handle down, no 2nd flush. EW. TMI?

It works well, is compact but doesn't "sit small". Seat is comfortable, looks good, and closes nice and slowly. It's good at evacuating waste and uses very little water. If there is a particularly heavy movement it can clog. It is easily plunged with one of the newer bellows style plungers. Older style plungers will not fit the bowl and will be useless.

Looks great, but clean water is leaking onto the floor

I had two of these installed when I built my new home. After 27 months one of the toilets is occasionally leaking onto the floor. Plumber has checked it twice and cannot find where it is leaking. He is now assuming that there is a crack in the toilet, and that I need to replace the entire toilet.

Folks should know how it saves water, yet flushes well. The new height is more comfortable and the seat is ergonomically shaped to some degree. I liked that, due to the design of the lower section, it didn't take more floor space than the previous toilet. The finish on this product is easy to clean and the one-piece design is sleek and has far fewer crevices to keep clean. I am very pleased with my purchase. But it did come at a higher price than I had expected when I began the search.

Great Toilet

We needed a toilet to fit into a small area, but also wanted to go from the builder-grade round seating to an oblong that fit into the same "footprint." This one was perfect. So good, in fact, I think it takes up even less room than the old round one. This was the second toilet I've installed and it couldn't have been easier. Nice one piece toilet! Seat is odd

I like this new toilet and recommend it. However, the seat takes some getting used to and when you sit on it you lean back because it is not completely flat like a typical toilet seat. I’ve gotten used to it and actually like it but it is different.

Kohler Stands by their Product

Toilet works great and looks great. The tank lid didn’t sit flush on the tank and there was a defect in the top finish. I emailed Kohler and they sent a replacement lid in less than a week no questions asked.

Absolutely Awful Tank Appearance and Seat Cover Scratched

Horribly disappointed. We purchased 5 of these for our new home. The toilets work fine, but on every single one, the bottom of tank cover and top of the tanks are not properly finished/glazed so the dark tan unglazed areas are completely visible. In fact, they're so visible that it's the first thing one notices when entering the bathroom or area where the toilet is. They look like they're defective factory seconds. Great Product

Was looking for chair height elongated bowl with same footprint as the round bowl. This toilet met those requirements. Bonus features: easy to install, quieter flush and In my opinion, Ted Ethe one piece toilet looks better than the two piece toilet.

Good Luck Finding a Plunger

It's a reasonable toilet. The comments about the glazing around the tank are accurate, but not a huge deal to me. What IS a huge deal to me is the fact that the geniuses over at Kohler decided to design the bowl such that NO PLUNGER SEALS ON THE DRAIN (out of the 4 different plunger types I've tried so far). Sure Kohler says you won't get a clog...but you will...and when you do, no amount of plunging will save you. If you're going to buy this toilet, get yourself an auger and keep it handy.
