Great, affordable toilet that works as described, low flow a plus

Have had this toilet for over 2 years now, we appreciate the compact size and the modernish look. Most importantly, the old toilet this one replaced was frequently plugged, with the Santa Rosa toilet it has only happened a few times and of those only twice did it require using the plunger, the other few times a few extra flushes.cleared the drain. Happy with this choice

Santa Rosa is a solid choice for an affordable, efficient toilet that looks good. I have replaced all 4 of my builder grade toilets with the Santa Rosa now and I am happy with how it is easier to clean and has been reliable thus far.

Looks good

We love the look and functionality of a one-piece toilet. Also, once you’ve had a comfort height toilet (this is our third in three bathrooms) there is no going back.

Excellent toilet but .....

I bought this kholer less than a month ago and ever since I have anxiety every time I flush because it splashes upward . Tried to adjust the water level to no avail !

Great toilet but Caused water hammer in house pipes because of power flush

Note to Kohler engineers: Power flush caused air to get into house pipes when toilet flushed. Cut water flow intake to bowl to twice as long to refill bowl. Problem solved.

Excellent solution…

After installation noticed the awful, unsightly unfinished top edge of the tank. Belatedly…read other’s reviews of this issue and contacted Kohler customer service. Rebecca immediately offered to send out the alternative tank top. It arrived today and it is a perfect solution. The unfinished edge is completely covered. Awesome customer service. I had the same problem with the seat cracking / splitting. Can't believe Kohler would manufacture a seat like this....glueing 2 parts.

Aquapiston is a defective design causing water leakage

I've installed and owned multiple Kohler & Toto toilets. In my experience, the tot toilets never leak. Any Kohler with the Aquapiston leaks over time. It is difficult to determine WHERE the leak is occurring. the cost of the leaker water IS GREATER THAN THE PRICE of the toilet. Consequently, any Kohler toilet with the Aquapiston technology is a bad economic investment.

Poor toilet seat and poor glaze on tank

purchased two of these toilets for a powder room and guest bathroom remodel. We have never spent this much on a toilet but we really liked how it looked. And since it was Kohler it would be worth the expense. It was quite a surprise and huge disappointment to discover the 1) toilet seat is not a soft close and it is very poor quality & 2) the toilet tank is not glazed around the edges & the lid just barely covers the top of the tank leaving the unglazed edges quite visible. Black mold

The previous owners of our current home had two of these Santa Rosa toilets installed in late 2018. I have had a constant struggle controlling mold from forming in the tank which then accumulates at the water line in the bowl. One has a permanent grey stain at the water line that cannot be removed. There is no mold elsewhere in the house. I have scrubbed the interior of the tank (including the lid) with a bleach solution as per the manufacturer's recommendation. I went all in!

Was looking for an affordable unibody toilet and came across the Santa Rosa. Tried one and was very happy, so I changed out the other three toilets with the same thing. Overall excellent experience, and these look fancier than they are. I did just have the trip lever rust out in one unit (kinda strange, but...); Part seems to be readily available and cheap, so not too big a deal. Overall I'm a fan.

Great at first, then problems

Purchased this in June 2020 and it worked great for over a year. For the last few months it has been clogging several times a month with a regular bowel movement - sometimes needing a snake - not just a plunger to clear. With my MS, the higher seat makes getting up and down easy.

Poor quality

I ordered a toilet and it arrived much more quickly than I'd expected, but it was broken! I called Kohler and they said they'd send out another right away. When it hadn't arrived after two weeks, I checked in with them, and they said it had been sent, received, and signed for! They said they'd send another! Poor Glazing Coverage

I love the looks and function of this toilet, but was disappointed when I placed the lid on the tank after completing installation. The glazing on the front of the toilet does not wrap the top of the tank, leaving an exposed line of unglazed porcelain visible from the front of the toilet just below the lid. Not the quality Kohler finish I expected.
