Great product for customizing floor vent plates!

When I chose the product I assumed it was similar to the vent that I currently use. But this 1 is different it is my custom made which is not bad at all.

Nice product for the floor

Product was packed well with no issues with shipment. Instructions were well written and understandable. Just installed a wood laminate floor and this was a nice accent to the floor heat register. The black color worked well with other colors in my bath. It is made from a heavy plastic material and appears to be easily spray painted to a color of your choice. Overall a nice product.

Register matches the flooring - Sweet!

This is an awesome way to totally change the way the register in the floor looks. It comes with a nice little template for helping you know the exact size of flooring that you need to cut. One draw back I would say is even though it does allow air through it, with the middle blocked it's definitely less air than usual. I could see this being very useful in a room that is usually hot so the blocking section would minimize some heat and possibly help bring the room temp down slightly.

Plastic casing floor register w/ changeable center

This really has me with mixed feelings, first i love the fact that you can change the center to match your floors, but i really dislike that they are plastic. I've never liked plastic floor registers die to the fact that they break way too easily.

Disguised register

This great alternative way to blend or disguise the floor registers if you have laminate or vinyl plank flooring. I wrote this review for a 4x10 floor register that was black in color, they do come in white in color if it works better for your decor. You will need a piece of your existing flooring and also will need to build up with a piece of wood under your piece of flooring to get the level to the register. Nice new style look to floor registers.

These drop in floor registers are pretty neat. They give a completely different look to the standard registers with minimal effort. Simply cut a piece of flooring to fit the center section and install. You may have to add a piece of 3/4" material to space the center layer up, but that is shown clearly in the instructions. It is a fine product from Canada.

Beautiful

Beautiful floor register! It did take me about 3 times to get the depth correct on the insert though. Thankfully i had more then enough extra flooring to to keep making new peices. I ended up using 2 peices of flooring and 2 thin peices of underlayment meterial sandwiched in between to make it the perfect hight. Fit and finish was perfect as well. I marked out a 10"x4" hole where i wanted the register to go and cut it out with a multitool and it fit perfectly. Matte black finish us very nice and...

Ingenious product for the right setting

Ok I will say this product is pretty ingenious - if you had an area where you did not want to see the floor register, this would work well. The only downside is that if your flooring is running in the opposite direction of the grill it would be difficult to use as the insert piece would be facing the wrong way. See the picture. You can't take it with you, but ...

When I moved to a new place from the house that I grew up in, we kept some flooring. Wasn't sure why, but I knew that my Great Grandfather had walked on it. I was able to use this innovative grate to keep a piece of history nearby. The slider action also sends the air straight up rather than at an angle with most metal grates. Plastic is sturdy, but I don't expect anyone to step on it. I also think this could work with tile if a piece was cut and some foam backing used to raise it. Nice.

Looks really nice!

This floor vent is really different than your average vent. It’s a special drop down in vent. It was easy to install. The concept is that you have the normal part that drops into the floor hole but then inside of that is another square drop in area that holds a piece of your matching flooring. Floor vents replacement

Was quite happy with these heater floor vents! We had smaller and old metal vents for our forced air furnace and the were in despite need to replacing. These were very easy to install and looked great!

Cool flooring vent

This floor vent is pretty cool. I would say the only flaw is that it’s plastic and not made of metal. If you have thin flooring, you will need to put an extra piece in to lift the flooring to the top. So it fits all thickness of flooring.

Not as expected!

I received this as a promotional item for review. I really like the idea behind the design of this vent, but it does have a few cons IMO! The first con is that it's made of plastic, which is fine as long as it's not used in high-traffic areas! Although, it does seem to be more durable compared to other plastic vents I have used. Easy to match and install floor register

This is one of those small upgrades that makes a big difference in the look and function of a room. I used this register to replace an old metal one that was all scratched up and rusty. It was absolutely worth it. The install was pretty simple cutting a piece of my flooring to drop into the center tray took a little time, but it blends in perfectly now and adds a unique but of customization. Cheap, but modern look floor vent

Has a sleek look, but made out of plastic and concerns me that it may crack if any weight is put on it. It also would need some filler pieces to bring your insert piece to the same level as the floor. I'm not sure if the air flow area is the same as a standard register opening, but you're going for a look over function at this point.

Sturdy and new way to cover vent.

The floor register is a good idea to cover the vent. It can be kept in either open or closed mode. It is sturdy. A wood cutout can be fit on top of it. It minimizes the space from which the air comes out. But it’s a good idea to put some where , where a space needs to be covered aesthetically even without the vent space. I feel it makes a bit of noise when used with air.

Nice idea for a floor grate with a couple flaws

I really like the idea behind this grate. The execution though has a couple issues I don’t like. First the good. Trying to blend the grate in with the floor is a nice idea. It has good vents for airflow and the control moves real easily. I wish I’d have chosen brown though, if it was available, because it would have blended in with my flooring better. That’s on me. Looks good

I love the idea. Makes the vent more visibly attractive. The vent is plastic, and the tab to open or close the vent felt a bit flimsy. If you open and close your vents frequently, I worry it would break.

Flush vent grate for floor.. floor matching

Useable vent grate for floors that easily fits in register. Guide to guide flooring to match is easy to follow. Little tricky getting flooring to sit flush without something underneath but it works well. It’s nice you can match it with your current floor.

Not liked, could be metal

Great idea, but I did not care for the quality of the register/vent. Overall as I stated a good idea to match the flooring or room you are installing, but the material should have been metal. the vent works well and allows control of air flow
