If you do not want to mess with the mess of using plumber's putty when installing the Insinkerator, then I highly recommend you use this product instead.

Reinstalled Garbage Disposal after countertop and sink replacement. Original installment used putty, this time I purchased the Insinkerator gasket. Much easier and faster re-installment. I would recommend this product.
