Quietly Efficient

Every other disposal that has been in my house has been loud enough to wake the neighbors, and scare the cat. The Insinkerator disposal is so quiet you almost don't hear it over the running water. What an amazing device. I will insist on another one, if we ever move from this house.

What a difference!

We replaced an older (15+ years) septic disposer that just plain quit working. I was first surprised at the physical size of the new unit - much smaller than the one it replaced. Installation was pretty much plug-and-play. Nothing difficult, but it still took a couple hours with the help of my apprentice plumber son. The biggest surprise was when I turned it on for the first time - I wasn't sure it was on at all - it was that quiet! It makes quick work of anything we feed it. Very impressed.

HP Rating

I am pleased with my product; it’s quiet and efficient. My issue is that the online discrimination and packaging indicate that the unit is one (1) HP. However, the installation booklet indicates that the unit is 3/4HP. What in fact is the HP rating for this unit. Thank You.

Read twice, install once

My only issue was not getting the gasket to seal at the sink flange. I removed and repeated the process and was successful in getting a proper seal. My assumption was not setting the disposal parallel to the drain flange. All tabs were engaged properly, but I assume the gasket was pinched.

Listen can you hear it, I can't either. Yes, it is on the garbage went gone. Oh what a lovely "sound", silence.

Very quite and quick

Really liked the ease of connection to the sink drain. The items included with the unit made it easy. My only concern is that I was not sure that it was running after install, my old unit was so noisy.

Quiet!

We installed this unit and when we turned it on, my wife wondered if it was working. It was REALLY that quiet.

This thing is great

The install was easy Getting the old unit out took 1 hour with PB Blaster and a chisel. The install took 20 minutes This unit is so quiet that my wife said “turn it on I want to hear it” , while it was running. It ate 2 apples and 1 lemon in less time than it took to type this line

Very quiet!

My husband was able to replace a broken disposal with this new one within 2 hours including going to the hardware store, Lowe's, to purchase. This disposal is very quiet and efficient. Love it!

Easy replacement

My previous InSinkerator was over 20 years old and worn out. I replaced it with a new Evolution series. The new one fit perfectly on the existing sink drain ring. The new flexible outflow connection is great and easy to install. Once my new Evolution was in place and operational I turned it on. It's SO quiet you couldn't tell it was running. And, it's very powerful, too.Doug

What a difference

My garage disposal finally died and I ended up buying an InSinkErator even though it was higher priced than the other disposers. Installing the new disposal was a little more work because of the slightly increase in weight, I was totally surprised by its operation. When I turned it on all I heard was a slight “hum” which I thought was a sound of a jammed disposal. Works fine ...

Works fine, but was hard to install: very heavy and wide; trouble seeing where it had to be rotated into. Heavy weight made it tougher.

This product is very quiet.

This product does a great job and you can hardly hear it running. Our previous garbage disposal was very loud. Very satisfied.

The only garbage disposal Ill ever buy

Ive had this brand for years. I normally have them.for 15 years at a time. I use mine EVERY SINGLE DAY. I got a bigger new one only because I had my kitchen remodeled & I love it! Its bigger & has more powerful model than I've bought in the past, but I now have a Farm sink, so I figured I'd need it. I LOVE IT!

Best garbage disposer we have ever owned! It is so quiet! We paid to have it installed by one of Lowe's installers, which cost us about a $100.00, but it is easy to install for the average handyman. Be sure to knock out the plug (you must do this in all new garbage disposers you buy). The black ring for the drain in the sink pulls out so that you can wash it in the dishwasher or by hand.
