What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these snips and chalk line tools for exceptional cutting power and durability. Many highlight their ability to cut through metal roofing, conveyor belts, and hardware cloth with ease, describing them as "cut through tin like butter" and noting they remain sharp after heavy use. The sturdy, ergonomic design earns consistent commendation. The chalk line tools impress with smooth operation, reliable retraction, and a compound winding mechanism with press-button disengagement. A few users report occasional tangling or jamming if the line is tensioned improperly, and some note the tools feel heavier than competing models. Overall, reviewers consider these reliable, high-performing tools worth the investment.

Would RecommendThe best chalk line on the market today bar none. Excellent
Works as advertised.
Would RecommendThis works as stated. I was able to strike some lines myself. Sometimes assistance is needed.
Easy to use
Works well when paired with any type of chalk. Easy to use
Very resistant
Would RecommendLove the product last a while very resistant won't break.
My wife fixed it
Would Not RecommendThis kept jamming up, and about 25ft out the line broke. I told my wife to take it back and get another, but she took it apart, got the rest of the line untangled, and put it back together. She said the main problem was that the line had been wound around the wheel too fast so it got tangled up with itself. It does not have a smooth recoil either. It’s a get what you pay for thing
Speedline pro snapline
Would Recommendpretty much a standard snap line. Works well and good length.
Worked like a charm
Would RecommendWorked great for chalking Out the cabinet lines in our new home
Great chalk box
Would RecommendThis was a decent chalk line. It had a decent sized door in which I would add the chalk. Having 100’ of line makes this useable for a lot of various projects. Only complaint is that it requires someone to pull the line while reeling it back in to be able to get the crank lever in a position to lock it in place. Would prefer another design to lock the lever.
Waste of money
Would Not RecommendI usually buy Irwin tools and never really had any issues... HOWEVER this was a total waste of money and time. Used it 4 times on a job marking control joints. After the 4th line the string broke and the chalk box was useless. As a professional contractor I would not recommend wasting money on this. Cons Cheap Poorly made Pro Nothing
Long snips
Would RecommendI was looking at the snips and saw this, it was one of if not the longest snips that they had which did the job I needed to do
Great Product
Would RecommendUsed this to cut asphalt shingles. Did the whole roof and they are still mostly sharp.
"The Pliars that PLIED!"
Would Recommend"Very strong cutting sheers!!!" "Great ergonomic design...comfortable and cuts exceptionally well!"
Performance report on straight snips
Would RecommendSnips worked great on various thickness of tin. Was ok till you got to thicker metal then it was difficult.
Disappointed
Would Not RecommendWould not even cut siding, frustrating, waste of time and money.
