What Customers Are Saying
This high-temperature sealant is generally effective for sealing gaps and joints in stoves, furnaces, and other high-heat applications. Many customers report successfully using it to seal stove pipes and furnace gaskets, with the sealant holding up well to high temperatures. However, some found it did not perform as well at the claimed 600°F maximum temperature, with the sealant crumbling or falling off when used on wood stoves. Overall, the product appears to work well for most common stove and furnace applications, though users should be aware of potential limitations regarding maximum temperature.

Would RecommendI couldn’t find a door seal for the top door of my families old style wood burning stove. I found this, applied to both doors (once cleaned, I realized both needed replacing) and it has held up 3 winters now! I will be trying this to see if it will seal the “adjustable” elbows since no one seams to have the solid ones anymore...
Excellent high temperature sealant
Would RecommendI used this to repair a gasket leak in the condensation area of my gas furnace. It applied easily, the repair is hardly noticeable, and most importantly it completely stopped the leak and has zero issues maintaining strength even in the hot furnace environment. This, along with replacing the flame sensor myself, saved me over $500 on my gas furnace repair.
Perfect
Would RecommendThis worked perfectly for my inducer fan motor change out.

Lowes description incorrect
Would RecommendBe aware the temperature rating description on the Lowes website is wrong. Fully cured, it can be used for extended periods at temperatures up to 260°C (500°F), not 26C (50F) as described.
Great stuff
Would RecommendThis is the best heat sealant I have found. I will continue to use this product whenever needed.

wont work on a woodstove
Would Not RecommendI bought this to seal the joints in my potbelly stove, hoping for a seal which would take the expansion and contraction of cast iron. After the first fire, which was by no means all that hot, I noticed separation from the iron. After the second fire cooled, it was crumbling and falling off. Again, the fires were nowhere near the temp I may normally run the stove. I dont think I got near 600'. Bottom line, it wont successfully seal the firebox.

Excellent product
Would RecommendBought this to seal an exhaust pipe on a direct vent gas heater. Easy to apply, sealed well and like that it has a cap so the tube will not harden up over time.
