What Customers Are Saying
This high-temperature sealant is generally effective for sealing gaps and joints in stoves, furnaces, and other high-heat applications. Many customers report successfully using it to seal stove pipes and furnace gaskets, with the sealant holding up well to high temperatures. However, some found it did not perform as well at the claimed 600°F maximum temperature, with the sealant crumbling or falling off when used on wood stoves. Overall, the product appears to work well for most common stove and furnace applications, though users should be aware of potential limitations regarding maximum temperature.

Read the fine print
Just so you know I have never tried this product but while looking for a high temp RTV this showed up and I noticed a huge error in the product specifications, specifically the 600F rating is actually a temporary short time period value NOT the max temp rating. " it can be used for extended periods at temperatures up to 26C (50F) and for shorter periods as high as 316C (600F)." So the MAX temp seems to be 50F unless this is a big typo by Lowes. I don't see how you can call 50F a high temp seal...
