100 times better than expected!

Didn’t really have a lot of hope for this but I’m a novelty product weirdo...had to give it a shot. 10 wooded acres on a river, everything is humid/damp pretty much year round. I tested this on leaf piles, twig/small branch piles, and camp fires. Worded 100% of the time, much easier than some of the solid products I’ve tried in the past - and without the usual heavy startup smoke.

Not impressed

This product did not burn as anticipated when applied to logs or kindling.

I use this as a starter for my pellet stove to get it lit faster. Awesome product.

Quick starting gel

I was able to use this fire starter gel very successfully to get a large campfire started under very wet conditions. I found that the gel worked best after building the woodpile and leaving a space near the bottom where I could place very dry kindling coated with this gel below the main courses of wood. I use it in a pellet stove. It burns long enough and doesn’t flare up like most accelerants.

Great starter

Bought this as a test run since my pellet stove does not have auto start. Out on pellets and it lit right up. Worked perfectly. Went out and bought 6 more bottles to get me through the cold months before they either sell out or remove from shelf before the cold ends.

I have used this for 4 years to help get our wood stove going in the morning. Makes it a lot easier to get the kindling burning. Would be lost with out it.

Terrible and expensive

I have been using Smarter Starter Fluid (in a green 32oz can) but ran out. Lowe’s didn’t have the fluid I like, but had this stuff by Imperial so I gave it a try. I am using it to light Cowboy Charcoal. Now with the Smarter fluid I am able to get the Cowboy charcoal to light and burn very easily. This new stuff, when used in the same application is terrible. Great product. I use for lighting my pellet stove. Bottle goes fast though. Wish the price would come down.

Flame on!

I used this product just to get my fire pit going. I only added a mall amount to an area and it help out a lot! Still use with caution since you do not want to get any of that gel on you. Otherwise works well

My review is based on inventory control issues

First and foremost I like this product, it works well. I have used if your about 3 years now and have had not performance issues. Now on to Lowes failure of inventory control.
