What Customers Are Saying
The wire stripper tool received mixed reviews. Many found it useful and convenient for quickly and cleanly stripping various wire types without damage. However, some customers reported issues with the tool jamming or not working well on certain wire gauges, particularly thinner 14-gauge. While generally effective, the tool's performance can be inconsistent, and it may not suit all users' needs equally.

Would Not RecommendNot that easy to use. I can strip Romex with a utility knife faster.

a dream tool
Would RecommendI wish this tool was available 20 yrs ago. Not only does it make stripping romex cable super easy, it also strips the casing to whatever length you want. Not only is this a must tool for diy homeowners but a welcome addition for professional electricians.

It Works Sometimes
I have been using tools and installing romex for many years. I usually use a knife to split the outer jacket. I bought this to try on a recent job. It works about 2/3 of the time. Otherwise, it just wads up the paper liner and jams after a few inches. When working in tight spaces, like single gang boxes, if the romex is twisted at all, forget it. I'm going back to using a knife.
Great tool, value for money.
Great tool, value for money but should have been in store instead of having to order.

Inferior, more expensive replacement
Would Not RecommendWith tax it was $6. And pretty much the only option as the aluminum strippers that cost only a couple of bucks are apparently discounted. It is inferior to the aluminum one - it does not split the wire sheet as well, and made of plastic. It will not hold up with any regular use .

Annoying
Would Not RecommendThe old school rippers that you pull are much better and are just as cheap.Unfortunately no one had one in stock so I got stuck with this. It just pushes the paper insulation further into the wire, causing it to bind up/catch. Constant struggle.

Strips really well!
Would RecommendThis little tool was great for striping cable. I didn’t quite master curling the wire ends but that was on me not the tool. I would recommend it. It stays in my tool belt.

Works Okay on 12-2, not so good 14-2
Would Not RecommendWorks pretty well on 12-2 but not 14-2? Maybe needs redesgn for modern compact wire size.

Very easy to use and did the job.

Seriously Great
Would RecommendThis product allowed me to remove the protective outer layer, strip, bend and cut the 12 gage wires. I know electricians do this all the time with other tools, but for me (not an electrician) it was perfect and easy to use.

Ok, didn’t work like I had hoped
Would Not RecommendThought it was a great idea but didn’t end up working like I had hoped. Maybe I needed to try a different technique but couldn’t seem to get it to slide at all
