Would RecommendYou never know what a homeowner or yourself is going to mount to a ceiling box. These boxes saddle the joist and allow for a much higher load to be affixed such as HUGE ceiling fans by putting the box and fixture mounting screws directly into the joist rather than a standard box nailed to the side of a joist. Highly recommend.
No torn up drywall!
Would RecommendThe hardest part of the job was getting the old box out. The new replacement is very strong and will hold a chandelier properly.

Best old work bar box, period
Would RecommendWorked as intended. The mounting bracket to hold the box to the round bar is easy to install by twisting in pre-mounted screws vs other brands with a square shape bar and having to try and locate the screw holes blind. My new favorite bar box.
