What Customers Are Saying

The replacement plug is generally described as a simple, affordable, and effective solution for repairing damaged electrical cords. Many customers found it easy to install and use, and it was able to handle the needed electrical capacity. However, some experienced issues with the plug opening being too small for thicker cords, and a few felt the design could be improved. Overall, the plug seems to work well for many common household repair needs, though customers should consider the dimensions of their cord before purchasing.

How to use just plug to attach wires. Not a particularly great value, but the only thing they had in stock that would serve my purpose

Almost perfect plug!

Purchase this today. It's as advertised and easy-to-use. Had a little trouble getting it to secure 100%, once I had split the cord. I wrapped my finished work with black electrical tape and it's not noticeable.

Only works on smaller/older gauge <16awg wire

Would Not Recommend

I used this to repair the broken prongs from a standard polarized 6' indoor extension cord, but the wire (16awg) was physically too thick for this replacement plug to close properly without smashing up the wire. This plug claims it can handle 15 amps, so you would think it should support 16awg wire fine, but it didn't fit properly without excessive force and smashing the wire housing. I will look for something else next time.

Glad you carry this [lamp cord (18 gauge)] plug.

Would Recommend

Was able to fix my lamp with this plug. The size holds the lamp's 18 gauge lamp cord nicely. It's tough, and easy to install. Looks nice. Thanks for having this available, Lowe's. (As opposed to only vacuum cleaner cord plug). t\.
