We already use a larger wattage electric start Honda generator for the frequent power outages at our home, plugging it to a wired breaker panel to run refrigerators, freezer, and well pumps. Needed another unit to power heaters for a greenhouse through a predicted ice storm. Cali power outage

Used two of these with a parallel kit during the outage here in Cali from the fires. Power was off for 24 hours, refueled once. Ran 3 bedrooms and living room which all have TVs and fans, large fridge, deep freezer and bathroom lights. Super quiet, efficient, and barely had a break when they were refueled and kept on trucking. They kept my family comfortable and that's all I care about. Cant beat a Honda

Great IT backup generator during hurricanes

Its a Honda, reliable, works perfect and easy to start by hand or battery. Very quiet and easy to service. Well thought out. My only criticism is lack of wheels to move around. Its too heavy for one person to move.

Hurricane Milton

I am using my EU3000is during a blackout after hurricane Milton. I am powering a large fridge, small external freezer, two fully setup aquariums 38g and 75g, 55 inch lcd tv, roku box, router, fiber box, 2 box fans, and any chargeable device (light, cellphones, laptops). Even with all this 5 gallon lasted me 3 days. I would turn off the generator at night and turn it on in the morning when awake. I am so satisfied with my purchase, will be considering the EU7000is in the future.

Got us through Helene

Purchased this genny Friday morning of hurricane Helene here in SC, and it powered our 2 refigerator/freezers, one of the neighbors', our home internet, TV and home network. It ran quietly in the driveway and used very little gas overnight. When our power came back on, I lent it to a friend and it did the same for them for a week without issue. Seems bulletproof! And it's quiet.

Great Generator!!!!

Got hit by hurricane Helene. Was without power for 8 days. This unit provided electricity to everything that I needed it to. Ran unit on the eco mode, and that minimized gasoline consumption. I would recommend this unit to anyone.

Poor service

It worked poorly, ran rough and struggled to stay running. It is currently is the shop for repair, Arco Lawn Equipment Ballwin, MO 63011

Great home backup generator

Just bought and using for weather emergency. Easy to read manual, add oil(not supplied) , check switches and pull to start. Up and running in minutes ! Amazingly quiet. Running full size fridge, a light and charging station. Life saver. Definitely add the wheel kit- pretty stout in weight.

20 Years Old & It starts first time every time!

Just survived 6 days without power after hurricane Beryl in Houston, with our 20-year old EU3000is! It powered a large room AC, our refrigerator, lights, and 86-inch TV & Blu-Ray player.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

USED AT MY RESIDENCE FOR 3 HOURS THEN IT DID'NT WORK ANYMORE. MY EXPERIENCE WAS TOTALLY NOT GOOD

Purchased for hurricane that never arrived.

Spouse recently placed on daily dialysis. She is hooked to a cycling machine nightly for 8 hours. With first hurricane warning of season knew had to have electricity back up. After extended review of generators finally decided on the Honda EC3000IS for output and Honda dependability. Hurricane never showed up but still satisfied with my purchase. Took every step to ready generator for first run. And true to Honda legend it started on first attempt.

Great, long lasting generator and especially quite

I purchased an identical 3000i in 2005 and have used it for 19 years and after being underwater during three floods, I decided to retire it and gave it to my nephew. It is still operating. It has been an excellent generator and used a lot especially during hunting season at my deer camp along with being my home standby power generator. I purchased this new one because of its reliability. I also own a Honda 2200 generator that travels with me in my RV.

We live out in a semi rural area. Power outages happen yearly. Most lasting less than 3 hours. However, a week ago, a severe thunderstorm with tornado warnings came through the area. lost power for 12 hours. Freezer temp gauge, via battery, showed temps rose to 26 and 27 degrees. Bought the generator. Set it up. first pull the generator started. ran smooth, quiet, and without any issues. Wife likes it due to battery electric start. VERY QUIET.

GREAT FOR HOME & GARAGE USE

Great backup home generator

I use my generator primarily to provide power to a basement sump pump when our duke energy power goes out which is not very often or for very long. But if water is coming into sump pit very quickly, it doesn't take long for the basement floor to get wet. If the power is out longer it will also power the fridge and freezer and other necessary things. My new Honda EU3000is generator is such a wonderful and quiet generator for powering my various power tools in remote locations, I have owned several different brands before and this is by far the best Generator for me. Thank you. So much Honda.

Perfect generator for Home owners

This little Honda generator is easy to wheel up from my garage to my kitchen door. Easy to start, powers my refrigerator, freezer, microwave if needed (by switching extension cords), cell phones, toaster or coffee maker when needed. It's been a Godsend with all the crazy weather we've been experiencing in Northern California for the last few years! Women, don't be afraid!

This is a backup generator.

I have not used it yet but I did start it and made sure it was working properly. It starts really well using the starter or rope pull start. It is extremely quiet and very well made. I think Honda makes the best Generators you can buy.
