Great backup home generator

Great generator for home use with electric easy to start easy to store

These EU3000is generators are the reliable standard. For my purposes I wish it didn’t mix the exhaust with the cooling air before exiting the housing. It causes exhaust particles and blowby to accumulate inside the outer housing, and it makes it difficult to vent the exhaust only, out of a generator shed. It’s also very heavy. But it’s quite reliability was more important.

Great Generator until it was not after 3 mos

I used the generator at my camp (10-20 hrs on weekends) to run ceiling fans, lights, television and occasional power tool. It worked flawlessly the first 2.5 months, but then it literally quit. I checked the easy things like oil, spark plug and air filter which were all fine. I'm scheduled to have it in the repair shop next week, so I will update my review after it gets serviced. If it gets back to original operating form I will give it an improved rating.

EU3000

I use this generator primarily to power my camper. It can run the AC and recharge the house batts at the same time. It is quieter than the pair of Honda 2000 that I run in parallel and has a much larger fuel tank.. Only down side is that it is a little heavy for one person to move alone. I also like the fact that the label states it was made in Japan not like some of Honda's other generators. Wish they had added an hour meter to it to make maintenance easy to time out.

Primary Generator for my remote recreation cabin

IHair drt use this generator as my primary power source, It runs my 12 volt battery charger, shallow well pump. Microwave, and hair dryer .Excellant unit

Running great after a fuel mod

I use this generator with my camper at about 8500 foot elevation. It has performed very well. The dealer in Sheridan, Wyoming has been the best experience with a dealer.

A Worthy Investment

Used for home back-up power. Sufficient output but I manage to essentials during an outage. Can't run everything with 3000 watts. Superbly quiet and fuel efficient. Very reliable if you maintain it. A bit heavy; the wheel kit helps. This is still the best in its class, like many Honda products.

All the Power I Need for Off Grid Camping

I load my EU3000is into the back of my pickup when we hit the road with our 25 ft Airstream so if we stop someplace with electricity, we can run everything we need including Air Conditioning. It fits nicely under my tonneau cover at the back of my pickup bed so all I have to do is roll back the tonneau and plug it in. Starts right away, quiet, and sips gasoline. I also have an EU7000is for back up house power and it is also great.

Great Camping generator

I have owned the generator for 1 year. I use it to power my 35 foot fifth wheel trailer. Plenty of power to run everything (A/C, TVs, Microwave, Satelight and lights) at once. The generator is well constructed and easy to preform preventive maintenance.

Amazingly quiet and powerful

I have a 6500 construction generator and I have an on board RV generator but both are very loud and really not too dependable. I have a Honda 650 W small generator but it’s not big enough to run an air conditioner on my RV, so I decided to give the 3000 chance Into my satisfaction. It works exactly the way I would expect it to quiet yet powerful enough to run my air conditioner, and my computer at the same time.

I use this for home back up power during storms and hurricanes in NW,Fl.Also for a power source when doing yard maintenance/projects.

Great for camping.

Works great for what I need it for. But, the battery died and had to by a new one. Was only 5 months new. Only complaint i have. Factory said was under warranty, but repair shop said NO. Only complaint i have.

Probably the best generator out there

I use this generator to run a 12 V system in the cabin I built. Super quiet and efficient.. can’t even hear it while watching television inside the cabin. A few negative comments are too many openings on the bottom of the unit where mice can get in easily which I have sealed up and Honda has removed the socket for a type A USB charging cable, which I used to use to charge my 12 V batteries that run my cabin. My last on the generator had that socket and I really miss it.

Reliable - Needs Hour Meter & Wheels

The battery was charged so the generator started immediately. The label said it did not have motor oil, so I added 18 ounces and overflowed, so I drained oil to empty and started over. It held 16 oz., which is 2 oz. Less than the manual. It is heavy enough to require wheel, but that is an accessory. A runtime meter should have been supplied but it is also an accessory, and will be hidden behind a panel when installed.
