Learn from my mistakes...do not buy this roller

Being a novice painter, I was looking for a roller that would help me paint our basement. I thought that this product would help, but I was terribly wrong. We purchased our first roller about a week ago and first used it on 8/2/19. Below are the issues I had with this product: 1. The roller product is cheap and wears out quickly. I had to purchase three rolls that were 3/4inch because the 3/8 did nothing on my walls. I was only able to get a days use out of the roller before it left streaks ...

Broken from the store

Was super excited to cut my paint time down. Unfortunately, the paint feed was cracked and instead of feeding paint to the roller, it feed through the crack and dripped all over the room. Pretty much the opposite of what I was going for.

Expensive Junk

When I started using this roller the valve leaked a small amout of paint so I was carefull to not put on too much pressure when delivering paint. This slowed me way down. After filling 4 or 5 times it began leaking badly. Would make a nice little paint fountain. Could not fix by cleanin or flushing. A simple threaded cap like off a pop bottle could prevent. Like a said, expensive junk. Do not buy.

Awesome product

This really helped save time with my kitchen project. I had my entire kitchen to paint after remodel and it took no time at all.

Easy Paint ceiling

It only took 1/2 the paint to get the ceiling painted. Being able to draw the paint into the tub was a definite time saver.

Best invention ever!

This is the greatest thing since sliced bread! The only thing better would be a hot guy with no shirt painting for me. Watch the video on YouTube of how to use it and it was so easy. It is a pain to clean but if you're doing the same color in multiple rooms it was fabulous just buy it. Even if you're doing one room buy it and throw it away if you don't want to wash it it's that great. people with negative reviews must have been doing something wrong because it was fabulous!

Started to drip during 2nd gallon, broke at 3rd

I owned one of these several years ago and loved it and gave it to a friend. Just purchased a new home and we wanted to paint all of the rooms. Bought a new one and it started to drip during the 2nd gallon, but it was a very slow drip, I could work with that. Then while on gallon number 3 the tube used to fill the handle snapped in two leaving the thin part in the handle, which makes it impossible to remove and impossible to use. Also due to the size of the head/holder you can't use this pain...

Great Tool

Works well for painting a big surface area. It is a little tedious how it comes out in dots and you have to work it into the wall so to speak. Once you get a good amount of paint applied it’s spreads it out pretty evenly.

Works Well for Certain Situations

This paint stick is a time-save in certain situations. I recommend it highly for ceilings and painting large areas. Works best if you do ALL of your cutting in, then use the paint stick one time and toss it. They have detailing instructions on how to clean it, but it is time consuming and uses lots of water. Mine leaked slightly after cleaning. Still a great throw away tool for +/- $25. I bought two to paint my whole interior.

Time Saver!

I could not believe how quickly I painted my bedroom. The cleanup time offsets the reduction in painting time, but the overall savings is worth it. I also didn't have to worry about spilling my roller tray or stepping in it!

Solid Painting Tool

The trick is in the maintenance/cleaning. Wash it thoroughly and it works fairly well. It was very convenient to have more paint in the handle and able to dispense as needed. Painting was considerably faster and easier than with a normal roller.

Fast way to paint

My husband used this to prime our walls after skim coating. The instructions for those of us a little more DIY challenged could be a little more detailed, however, but we figured it out after finding a You Tube video.

A must buy!!!!!

We love these paint rollers, it makes painting sooo much easier. Especially when you're up on a ladder, no tray to hold. No more bending down to get paint. I wrap the roller in a garbage bag and it's still good to go the next day.

Save your money

I bought one of these a few years ago to replace a regular Paint Stick that just wore out. This was the only one they had and I figured it would work just as well. I was wrong. It was difficult to use, the twist action not only adds nothing to the original but actually makes everything so much worse. We used it once and didn't even finish the job. Had to relegate this garbage to the trash can and go with the old regular roller and a paint try which was actually easier than this hoax.
