Easy To Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is so easy to use. I used it on a small area of my ceiling. The knockdown texture blended in perfectly with the existing texture on the ceiling. After the texture, I painted the area and didn’t have any issues with the paint. This texture works very well for smaller areas.

Great product!

Didn't want to pay an overpriced "handyman" to do the repair and it was incredibly easy to do it myself. I'm a DIYer so I didn't get a professional finish but it's pretty darn good.

Inconsistent-not a match for conventional texture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On its face, the Pro Grade Knockdown Ceiling Texture has excellent features which theoretically would allow you to match your existing texture. In practice, it is almost impossible to match unless the original texture also came from a rattle can. Obviously, texture is messy however you do it, so do not expect this to be clean and anyone complaining about that is being picky. My biggest issue is the texture itself - it just does not look like...

Smooth application

Very easy to use

Great product when used correctly

I was reluctant to try this product based on all the terrible reviews. Before using it the first time, I read a lot of reviews, both now and from seven months ago when I first purchased it. The reviews from seven months ago had a lot of manufacturer feedback that said to put the can in a bucket of hot water for 20 minutes to help build up the pressure needed to get good flow. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This particular problem is not so great. For some reason it kept clogging up on me. Once I did get it working it was ok but it was hard to get it out. I was finally able to spread it out and cover up the area I needed. The clogging up problem needs to be addressed and then this product would be ok.

Exceeded expectations!

Unfortunately the first can we had was a dud (wouldn’t spray) but the next two cans were perfect and exceeded my expectations (used Homax knock down tool). The process was easy and I recommend watching a couple of YouTube videos to know what to expect. Placed in warm water for 5 minutes and shook for 2 minutes before using.

Makes touch up repairs an easier task!

This aids in applying the texture while maintaining a steady flow of product. Homax texture products are easy to work with for small patch repairs.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This texture spray is pretty easy to use, just shake it very well, and then shake it some more! It easily blends into your existing texture when you need to patch an area. Love the continence of a single use can versus getting out air compressor to do the job. Patched my bathroom ceiling and cannot tell a difference now! Will use again.

only covers about 5sqft

i bought a can of this and the wall version. after about 10s it just oozes out of the nozzle. i then made the mistake to try the cheaper version, bought 2 cans and basically the same result. used 4 cans to cover about 24ft. there must be a better method.

A leaky mess

This is one of the worst purchases I’ve ever made. I shook the van as directed VIGOROUSLY, unlocked the red tab and spray... yeah right... it blobs out of the nozzle dripping all over no uniformity whatsoever, in 3 minutes of ruining my plaster job I quit . This is getting returned immediately

SO glad I watched the "how to" video first.

After reading the reviews here (after I'd already bought it), I almost didn't use this. Video was very helpful. Did 6 areas (small patches in walls) around the house, and it came out great. Also cleaned it out (per video) and was able to use it a second time, a week later. Our painting contractor has used these for years. I asked him why he didn't just use a hopper and he told me hoppers are great for big jobs (entire walls/rooms), but these little cans are much faster for quick patches. ...

I have used this product in the past with satisfactory results but this time the first can had no pressure and second can shot 2 inches regardless of the setting and most of the product ran down the can. will not ever use again. I will have to mix a batch of mud and go big with my hopper and compressor.

Horrible product.

Don’t buy this. Read the other reviews. If I could give you no stars I would. After shaking vigorously like I own a shake weight to make sure it’s mixed it looks like a baby threw up their formula all over my wall.
