I had bought the combo kit. I was using the impact on a standard 8mm bolt and the drill just stopped working in a cloud of smoke. I returned the kit to the store a bought a different more reputable brand. I don't believe all there tools are bad. I must have just got one that was defective.

Good value for the money

I bought this drill with its sibling driver drill, DS18DGL, as a package deal that included a carrying bag, two batteries, and a charger. I got the package at a great price, and have used it a few times since purchasing the pair. I've always used a corded drill, and after using this drill, all I can say is why did I wait so long to buy a battery based drill? These tools are a dream to use, and make a great addition to any home.

Recommended for quality and durablity

Having had numerous brands of this product including Hitachi, it was a no brainer when I needed a new one. Tho product seems to last forever and has a lifetime warranty.

the driver is powerful and in comfortable on the hand. Batteries charge fast and last awhile so you are never waiting on a battery to charge

Disappointed

Tried to unscrew some deck screws to replace the floorboard on my front porch. The drill just kept spinning with no screw coming out.

Impack driver works great but 1 of the batteries right out of box Dead will not hold charge

This is my second set within 3 months they dont stay charged very long and it doesn't drive screws real good in hard wood and far as battery life very poor (for example ) when I'm building my sheds and mini barns I can only put up 4 rafters with at least 20 screws then done then I put smaller battery on and 15 to 20 mins it's done then you have to wait of course. Im a Hitachi fan

I have about six cordless Hitachi tools. All work great and thats only brand I purchase.

Best impact I've had

I highly prefer a hitachi impact over any dewalt or Milwaukee rioby rigid or any other. I bought this one as a spare cause I love the one I've had for 6 years, and it still is being worked everyday either as a carpenter or an auto glass technician.

Great build quality.

This impact driver is solid and compact. The ergonomics are very impressive. The motor is smooth and responsive. I do wish the belt clip was included, though. I recently replaced my entire tool collection with Hitachi and I am very happy to say I'm pleased!

CAN'T BELIEVE HOW USEFUL UNTIL I INSTALL ELECTRICAL CONDUIT THROUGH DRILLED HOLES THAT WAS EFERLESS. THIS WAS A GIFT AND CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T HAVE THIS IN MY TOOL CHEST..

Its Ok

The drill works good, when i use it the body flexes and I can feel the casing opening up and moving around under my hand. I was a little disappointed in the length of time i can use the drill because of the length of the battery. it serves its purpose but not sure how long it will last
