Would RecommendThe remote is very easy to install and use. I got multiple harbor breeze fans and installed some with remote and some without. I notice that the ones without remote set up have higher speed than the ones with remote. This is consistent across all the ones with remote that they are slower than all without remote.

Would RecommendI love this remote because I have my fan hooked to a one switch power source and I have high ceilings. Therefore with the remote I do not need to use the fan pull cord to adjust fan speed or to turn fan light off. The remote wall bracket was easy to install with 2 sided wall tape.

Turns out using it requires turning the fan and light on high (not possible with mine, as it was off for both settings when remote broke, and has never had pull chains to use, the model didn't come with them), then removing the whole fan from the ceiling, (disconnecting all wire connections), rewiring the fan and then reinstalling the fan.
