These sandbags did a fine job of damming up the entrance to our crawl space on a side of the house that normally floods to a depth of about half a foot. Two sandbags did the job. They're not kidding about the 50-lb capacity; I bought one 50-lb bag of sand, and filled two bags halfway, leaving enough room to lay the bags flat and shape them around the crawl space entrance.
