Overall OK
For the most part I would rate these very high; however, I have had issue in retrofitting into existing ceilings that have drywall thicker than 1/2”, and in use with arms flex cabling. There is very little clearance to no clearance under those conditions, and the light will not seat properly flat against the ceiling. Another 1/8” to the distance of the box to front face, and these would’ve perfect.

Great for new construction or replacement
Would RecommendI am currently doing a renovation of my den and purchased 4 of these for the project. Reason being they can be placed directly into any hole in the ceiling and not have to worry about the insulation getting in the way. The are very thin and ideal for our application. The initial cost is a bit much but the savings in the long run is well worth it!

Excellent light
Would RecommendI am an artist and installed the light in my studio. When using the brightest setting it is the only light needed. Previously I had to use a hanging lamp aimed directly to the easel, no longer needed.

Would RecommendWe had the recessed canister lights previously that were starting to go bad. We also wanted to upgrade to LED lights and contiplated doing new canisters. In order to put in new recessed canisters we would of had to cut out the ceiling to get the new ones in.
