Great for a small shop
Would RecommendJust purchased about a month ago, so far it's working perfectly. Very easy to set up, almost perfect out of the box and very easy to use. Nice clean edges and level boards every time so far, what a huge difference it has made on my glue ups. Quiet for a bench top jointer and rather easy to move it around if space is limited. Clean finish
Would RecommendSpiral planer leaves a very smooth finish and works very well. Unfortunately the table may be a little soft as even soft pine leaves scratches that you can feel in the surface of the table.

Great bench top jointer
Would RecommendIn our home shop's cabinetry application with mostly soft woods, I've found the power more than adequate, and the 6" width sufficient (I'm squaring 4 and 6" boards). The dust port works great with our collection system, and the noise level is tolerable. My sole caution is to consider a unit with longer in/out feed support if you're working with long boards.

Better than I expected
I received this as a gift this last Christmas and finally got a chance to use it to process wood for a project. I ran a good bit of S2S oak and it performed flawlessly. The finish was super smooth, and the angles were a perfect 90°. Set up was easy out of the box and there was pretty minimal machine oil on it. Enough to keep it protected but I was able to wipe it down in just a couple minutes. I could not have asked for a better machine for this price point. Also the dust collection works really...

Great value for the hobbyist!
Would RecommendI was a bit hesitant to order this based on some of the review saying it was tricky to set up. However, when it arrived in perfect condition - great packaging! - i set it up in about 30 minutes and after cleaning it carefully per instructions it was perfect. Perhaps some who purchase it are overworking it, but for a casual woodworker with modest needs this has been an excellent choice.
