Would Not RecommendThis screw is made like a concrete or mortar screw like a "tapcon" it's absolute trash for wood working. These will not secure a solid structure. Bottom line they bore the hole out and don't grip. These are going to get someone hurt.
Deck Screws
Would RecommendI bought these to build a deck for my pool. I like the color and the Star drive generally means no sharp edges to walk on bare foot. They self-drill very well. I used an 18 volt driver and could do about a hundred screws per charge.

No rust
Would RecommendI use these on every outdoor and flooring application I do. They go in easy because of the star bit application, but sometimes they do have a little spatter stuck in the hole so you occasionally have to throw one a way.

Poor design
Would Not RecommendI've used Grip Rite screws in the past on over a hundred decks, but I'll never purchase another single one with this type of thread pattern. In short, they're worthless! I'm scratching my head as to why Grip Rite didn't leave a tried and true good thing alone. The only reason I gave it a ! star rating was because there were no lower ratings.
