Many Choices of Deck Screws!
Would RecommendThe screws worked just fine, especially after I bought some with star heads, which rediued the head stripping of the phillips head screws.
Drill bit, not screw
Would Not RecommendAs said by other reviews, these "new" green box screws are junk. They're great at drilling a hole in wood, that's about it. Well, and they're made of metal and coated. As for acting as a screw, not a chance. Had the old style STT and ran out, got these, and I couldn't get a single one to tighten. Old ones would suck right through the wood if you weren't careful. Returning these NSTT's asap.

Awesome all around screws
Would RecommendWe used these screws to out together our props for our upcoming marching band season. We are able to reuse most of them after we tear apart the props at the end of the season.

Great screws but had a very few defects in the hex
Would RecommendSome hex heads were filled with pain preventing me from using them in a progression while building my fence and deck. None broke but the only problem was the hex head being defective.

poor design
Would Not RecommendI use 3" deck screws all the time. The previous version of this screw was great. The new design is poor. The threads are not deep enough, and they easily strip out the wood. If you try to screw into the end of treated lumber (something you do frequently in building decks), the screw will barely hold.
