Just what was needed for this project, the poly coating will keep them from corroding a lot longer, and the length .. well, this project wont come apart unless taken apart. ; )

Did the job...not a bad price BUT would most DIYers have this size star wrench in their too box? I did but this is a favorite size and like Philips heads, they were out or are lost. Add a star drive in the pack of screws!

Wow, what a screw!

This was my first time using these screws. I used them for my front deck, and was simply amazed at how well the worked. Not one issue during the whole project. Would recommend it to anyone and will use them in futer projects.

Worked just like screws are supposed to

I bought these screws. Ty a me win a driver. Both the screws and the driver worked just like thy should. The driver is a little less quality than what I would buy, but they give it to you for free so..... I suppose it's okay.

4" exterior star-drive screw

I needed some long screws for several projects. These were good and worked better than Phillips heads to drive deeply.

First Time

This is the first time I have used these screws on a deck but I had no problems with them and I love the self starting cut. Each box comes with an adapter for the drill and it help up well. No complaints. I even went back and bought some of the three inch as well.

Excellent Screws

Very good screws. I use drywall screws for a lot of stuff, but these are a little larger, have a very aggressive self-tapping head, and the star-drive bit system works fantastic. Very easy to stay locked in and not strip out.

ease of use

I build solely with screws. If demo or retro, it can be taken apart, re-used, salvaged. Sometimes temp. The tourque driver head gives best grip with the cutting tip(carpenter screw), 3 1/2-4 " go in like butter. They exstract as well, waitng to be driven in again w/o difficulty.

Excellent for outdoor use

I am using these on a new fence and on a trellis I built for honeysuckle. The coating on the screws does not come off and the screws can be backed out without loss of the coating. I like the star shaped drive as opposed to square drive because there is more surface are to drive the screw. I am using 2, 21/2 and 4 in screws in the trellis and fence it is mounted on. I expect it will last about as long as I will.

The star drive was great!

The star drive head is the way to go. I was reinforcing a ramp that the screws were rusting out and the boards were coming loose. Using 3-1/2" screws allowing to go 1" in to the wood. Star drive head is especially great if you have to use a variable speed electric drill. They will take the torque that may be needed when drilling the screw in. Much, much, much, better than Phillips head screws Time will tell how the screws stand up to the elements. Probably will outlast the wood.
