What Customers Are Saying
The Grip-Rite deck screws are praised for their durability, ease of use, and strong grip, especially when used with an impact driver. The star-shaped drive head is noted as superior to the traditional Phillips head, as it prevents stripping and allows for more torque. The screws are reported to work well for a variety of outdoor projects, and the corrosion-resistant coating helps them withstand the elements. However, some customers experienced issues with the screws not countersinking properly in pressure-treated lumber, and a few reported rusting over time.

Would RecommendHave a 26 year old deck that the nails are coming out of the wood. Have to pull the nails and replace them with a deck screw. The countersink well and the course thread was a plus in pulling some of the crooked boards back into place. As the nails are affected by the sun and pull slowly out of the wood, we will no longer be hammering them back in. We will use these screws to repair the deck. Any further decks that we build will be screwed together and not nailed.
heads dont strip out
Would Recommendi used the whole box and didn't lose not one due to stripping out the heads
Very good product and it works every time you use it. It is very hard these days to find something that is that reliable.
Torx head doesn't slip like Phillips head screws do!!!
They do the trick
Would RecommendI went through the whole box of these building my shed and never had one strip or give me a problem.
Best on the market
Would RecommendI've been using this cream is for several years now they're the best on the market.you can use them several times vitamin list on the head will not strip.
Easier to predrill starter hole
Would RecommendI am a lady and it was much easier for me to predrill the hole just deep enough to get it started.. Seemed difficult for me to get it to catch the wood without a predrill.
Easy to use
Would RecommendI bought these to frame in my basement and love the way they work. They screw in very easy and are long enough to hold without getting your hand in the way.
Robust fasteners well worth the extra cost...
Would RecommendI rebuilt my 14' X 12' deck using these fasteners and I was amazed at the finish and strength of this product. The overall strength of my entire deck improved using these over the twisted nail type they replaced. The star head was superior to any phillips head type in regards to ability to handle torque and a secure feeling while driving them into the wood without feel of sliping out and marring the deck finish.
Great screws
Would RecommendThese screws are easy to drive with the torx head.
Can't go wrong with screwing it!
Would RecommendThe best screw for just about any framing job. Pulls everything tight. For the DIYer, Pay the extra money and use screws in place of nails for your stud walls, joist w/ hangers or without, etc. You want be disappointed.
Great product
Would RecommendI like the T25 head because the driver does not slip.

Never use drywall screws (except for drywall)
Would RecommendThese screws converted me. If you're using drywall screws for wood assembly, STOP! They're brittle and not made for stress. They can snap under load. These screws have high tensile strength, plus the coating is superior against corrosion. They're easy to work with, too. They start self-drilling and go after a couple of turns. They go right thru treated lumber, no stalling. These are well worth the marginal price difference. The only "con", you need star driver tips. They supply one, but make sur...
