Owens Corning R30 Unfaced is the best!
Would RecommendAbsolutely the best insulation you can buy. Had to reinsulate my entire attic 40x40! The blown in insulation had deteriorated and settled and I had to use the R30 to install over it. It was a tough job, bought 55 rolls and took two weekends but the results were instant. You will definitely need to the insulation knife to cut the R30 as it is thick. Grip-Rite for Cutting Stone Wool Batt Insulation
Would RecommendThis knife was purchased to cut Rockwool ComfortBatt insulation and did its job well. However, a cheaper alternative would do just as well (i.e., large cheap serrated knife). The best characteristic about this knife was the comfortable plastic handle and the fact the handle was red making it easier to locate when you lay it down.

Get more than 1 if you have a lot to cut
Would RecommendOther than the impression that it became duller over time, this worked great on RockWool. I bought 2 while working with 144 batts and should have probably gone for 3. I am sure they can be sharpened but who wants to stop and sharpen a knife when you are on a roll?

Sharp
Would RecommendIt worked well. For my 1700 sq feet it worked as needed. I used it as well for cutting excess fire foam that would have been in the way of drywall.
