Does not work as intended

The design is nice and it feels high quality, however it does not function as intended. Even with the springs on the tightest selection, birds are heavy enough to close the trap door, they are not able to eat from it

mixed feelings

Great for keeping squirrels away but why use plastic. It doesn't last. For $50 use glass. disappointed that it only lasted a year in the Florida heat. TERRIBLE.

Effective

Elegant and effective. Attracted the first birds less than an hour after install.

Great looking bird feeder and sturdy

I think we might have solved the squirrel problem!

The weighted perches have really kept the squirrels off the feeder. They are too heavy and when they step on the perch the feeder closes! So far so good. But they are smart little rascals and always figure something out to get what they want!! Fingers crossed! It’s also attractive- some squirrel-deterrent feeders are such weird contraptions- but this one, although pricey, looks nice in the garden!! Let’s hope it’s the last one I have to buy.

Great bird feeder, but barely squirrel resistant

Birds took a while to warm up to this completely, but it's well made, and eventually they've come to frequent it. I will say it's barely squirrel resistant, if anything of a large weight touches the perch it locks out the food, but if you've ever tried to stop a squirrel from eating something from a feeder, you know that this won't detour them. After a few attempts one found a way to hang upside down from the hanger so it could still access the food. Overall I still like it though, and I knew...

Sturdy and well made!

Well made and solid. Hold a lot of bird seed. Easy to fill by lifting the hinged metal roof.

Squirrel feeder

After an hour, the squirrels had thus figured out. They are hanging on it, feeding, raising my blood pressure every time I look out the window. I don’t know how they thought this was squirrel resistant. One of the more expensive ones, and a total waste of money. I expected more from The Audubon Society, honestly.

Well designed product to help solve problems

The feeder is a high quality item and meets expectations. It is a great product for solving numerous problems including the birdseed constantly being knocked out on the ground and squirrels eating from the feeder. The well thought out design has spring loaded perches and seed saver baffle to resolve these problems. If you have the same problems that I have around my feeder, then this product is for you!

Love this feeder

This is the second one I have purchased. I have one in my front yard and on in my backyard. It is easy to fill and clean. It is very pretty and the birds love it! It has adjustments for bird weights to discourage squirrels.

Not worth the money

Squirrels easily get to this feeder and the bars (foot stand) quickly slipped off after I purchased and do not reattach in any way. Considering buying dowel rods to screw in to each side instead. I thought this would have been built a bit better for the stand part.
