Excellent power and versatility

Works with my existing Trimmer plus Edger, Blower, and Husq string trimmer attachments that I currently have. Pop in the 2amp and 4amp batteries from my mower and good to go. I was skeptical of the batteries from the start as for tools, they become throw-away after the manufacturers end the old voltage specs. But I can't say how nice it is to use GreenWorks Tools. The string trimmer with my blower attachment is stronger than my existing gas trimmer and no more smelling like gas when I'm done...

Harder to restring.

The product has plenty of power. It seems to take more string to get the job done than a gas unit. It is also harder to replace the sting as the head gets hard to turn, good and bad, you don't have to remove the head to string. Also, seems a slight bit heavier than gas units I have used.

Not worth it

Charged battery to full, it only lasted about 20 minutes which was not enough time to finish the job on a small yard. I then went to charge the battery and it kept blinking red, which was a sign that battery was no good. I waited several hours and tried to charge battery again, still had same issue. Waited to the next day to charge, same thing happened. Returned the weed eater. Was not worth the money.

Eventhough it has weight to it, it is balanced.

Balanced for ease of cutting. I am a woman 5'4" and I use with ease. runs for quite a long time.

Simple and Effective

Perfect for trimming around the lawn. No complaints to speak of!

Powerful String Trimmer

Powerful, can get heavy when a 5.0 AH battery is used but worth the extra power and battery life using the 5.0 AH battery

Great Little Machine

Easy to use, long battery life. It is heavier than my gas model, but did come with a shoulder strap. It came with only one battery; I'll be buying another one. I love that it has different attachments that can be bought for it. This was NOT a STOCK item; it took about 2-weeks to get it. I thought it was pricey, but for the voltage...it's a good deal.

small spooler, very difficult to feed more line.

The spooler holds about half of the line that my other trimmer holds. Also, bumping the spooler to feed additional line does not work very well. Most of the time I have to stop, take off the spooler, manually feed more line, then put it back on. No way I'm doing that all summer. I have many Greenworks products and this is the only one with which I am disappointed.

Best transition I have made

I was tired of gasoline engine problems plaguing me multiple times a year. After pulling my shoulder trying to start a three month old string trimmer, I said enough. I read every review I could find and they pointed to Greenworks. I bought this particular one for the attachment capability. I can use the edger from my gas edger. I have a lot of bordered flower beds, two driveways and 150’ of driveway. I got it all trimmed on one charge and still had enough of a charge left to swap the battery to ...

Arrived fast, easy to assemble and exceeded expectations. Will do more purchasing of the 80 V and 82V Commercial products.

String trimmer

Works good, but string advance requires a very hard strike against the ground to make it work, this could lead to future damage.

Not great

Spend more time trying to get the line replaced and working that it’s worth!! Not near as easy as they promote.

Head will not feed the string

The head will not feed the string! The spring seems to tight!! It’s going in the trash! Very disappointed!!
