NOT WATERPROOF

Great idea with the coloring changing and syncing with other strings, that part works great. BUT, THEY ARE NOT WATERPROOF as is says on the box! Ended up having to drill an 1/8" hole in the bottom of all the plastic housings to let water drain out. That after 6 of them filled with water and burnt the controller up. Great use for inside, but stay away from wet weather!

The color changing and other features only work with a subscription to use their phone app. Otherwise they just come on and burn light blue.

The worst!!

Only had them hung a month, half a line shorted out! The first time it rained they filled up with water, had to empty them after every rain. Now, 8 months later none of them work! It worth 80.00.. cost me 160.00!! Do not buy!!

Govee patio lights

The only thing that I kind of didn’t like is that the clips are on the side. I would’ve like them to be on the top of the bulb so it hangs straight down.

Do not buy! Bad design

I had these for a month before half of them stopped working. Upon inspection half the bulbs were filled with water. It had only rained twice since I installed them and not even a hard rain. Bad design and why design a outside product if it's not waterproof. I even rain protected the controller but it was where the lines go into the bulb on top that I suspect leaked. Not for outdoors

Not good for outdoors. One rainstorm filled the bulbs up and then they didn’t work. I’ve had them for less than a month.

Not rain proof 😞 first rain storm and the bulbs filled with water and half the lights will not work correctly. Faulty design. Trying to get a refund from the company now.

Disappointed in quality and functionality

These lights worked great for a few days now 90 percent of the lights don't work different bulbs turn on and off as they please. i only have a max of 5 lights working at any given time.

VERY UNRELIABLE - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME

Bought two strands. First one worked fine when it was on the ground, as soon as we strung it, several of the lights wouldn't work. It would not work with a 2nd string. So we unplugged (per the troubleshooting instructions) and deleted from app. Reinstalled and everything worked as expected... for ONE night. Next day, the first set - several of the bulbs were "stuck" on a color, several were out and almost the entire 2nd string was out. TOO MUCH WORK TRYING TO GET THIS GARBAGE WORKING. VERY UNRE...

You light up my life

Nice lights to lighting an outdoor space. Perfect size for around my deck. Only issue is the Govee app changed since purchase and it has taken a while to figure out how to use it again.

Not Waterproof

The manual states the control box isn't waterproof, so I made sure to keep it dry. The strand still failed just shy of three months from water intrusion into the bulbs due to rain, which suggests to me that the IP rating for the bulbs is flatly wrong.

They are amazing

I love them. They look so amazing in my backyard. I love the timer settings the best.

Needs improvement.

Weds improvement. The clips on them are pretty much worthless to use to hang them from and awning or patio. Like what would you clip it to? They should have some sort of eyelet. For how long the wire is there should be more lights, like 5 more. There is about 3 feet between bulbs. The lights itself and the functions with the Govee app are 5 out of 5 stars. Love the bulbs and their functions. As far as longevity we will see.

Only lasted a month

I I'm very disappointed in this purchase I paid $100 for these lights they only lasted a month and I only use them a couple hours a night I would not recommend them for the price they should have lasted a very long time at using them a couple hours a day
