Paper weight

Worked really well for about 6 months. After that it stopped connecting to wifi. It's a known issue with these. I figured I could live with that. Just set it manually. No big deal. But now it keeps rebooting itself. Infinite loop. Also, a known issue. Defective battery. Go with a honeywell. Buy the extended warranty. Google tells you to go back to where you bought it from. Don't buy this.

Install Nightmare

Instillation instructions included were of no help. Device would not stay powered on even though all wiring checked out.

The color brass is more of a copper color.

User Friendly

I've only had it for about a week, but it seems to working perfectly. It is easy to manage and set up if you are away from the home and need to adjust the temperature. Or if you would like to set it for an upcoming trip or vacation ahead of time that's an option too.

Works as advertised

Was easy to install. Replaced old Nest thermostat that stopped working. Nice not having to deal with batteries. Still figuring out learning function.

I've only installed 2 weeks ago, so far works pretty good! I like that its easy to read. Provides very precise info. I also like the ability and convenience of adjusting settings from cell phone

Nest customer support is horrible

Double check seals on boxed items, compare s/n's.

When I installed this thermostat it would not connect to my wifi. When I contacted the manufacturer to troubleshoot the problem I found out after giving them the serial number that my item was off warranty. I compared the s/n of the t-stat to the s/n on the box. They did not match. Apparently the t-stat got switched with a used malfunctioning t-stat either at the store or through a return procedure. The mfr sent me a replacement and said they would investigate. The replacement ts working well. ...

DO NOT BUY!

This should be negative stars. I have installed/replaced the Nest Learning Thermostat four (4) times. The WiFi circuitry fails. It is a known problem that Google has not corrected. First failure in 6 months. Second failure in one week! Third failure in 10 months. Think of the time and effort to go through the steps that Google requires to receive a replacement, then re-programming it, and BUY SOMETHING ELSE.
