Horrible.
Would Not RecommendHorrible product - nothing but issues from day one. Turning down low at night in freezing temps - common issue across many users. Make the changes to stay at a certain temp then of course reverts back. Finally got it - contacted customer support numerous times - weeks later - still no response. Yet again - turned completely off in the middle of the night during frigid dangerous temps. Researching now how to turn it back on. Do not buy this product - as bad as it is - customer service by Goog...

Stopped connecting to wifi
Would Not RecommendI bought the thermostat and for 2 months it was connected to my home wifi, then one day it was disconnected and will no longer find any network. I went through all the trouble-shooting steps and after some internet searching, this problem is unfixable.

WIFI CHIPS ARE BAD AND A KNOWN PROBLEM
Would Not RecommendOn site apt manager here. We installed about 5 of these buggers into different units and 4 out of 5 have had the W5 wifi error message after just anywhere from a couple weeks to more than a year. Google W5 wifi error; it's a common problem. If it dies outside of the 1 year warranty, they won't replace it even though it is COMMON ISSUE and if they do replace it, it'll probably be a refurbished product. I'm not wasting my time on Google products anymore.

Problem with WIFI connection
Would Not RecommendThe thermostat was working properly, but I noticed that was offline. Try to connect (for over a month) it to the WIFI, and then a warning saying "NETWORK Wi-Fi error nest.com/w5" and in SETTINGS "Wi-Fi connection error nest.com/w5" After following all instructions connection failed. Couldn't connect that to the network.
