Great Product

Product is great so far. Face and voice recognition. All my google alarms. Calendar and contacts link. Respinse to my smart lights is great.

Great speaker, could use some more features and settings, I feel like Google could do better and more then likely they won't disappoint on the next gen, this one other wise is still pretty good and convenient for alot, we keep it in our kitchen, which makes it the best spot in our house at the moment, I got this on sale and glad I did, I use it every day and still have some learning on my part for Operation but a solid buy.

Not user friendly.

Extremely difficult and frustrating to set up for use. Based on advertising, it appears you only need to plug the Nest Hub in and start using it. However, you must download a program to your cell phone to set up the Nest Hub and then take a lot of effort to configure the device. Video calls on Nest Hub cannot be made without having cell phone service, which is not disclosed anywhere. Help text displayed on Nest Hub is in text that is too large to read and does not have scroll back capabilitie...

Such a disappointment

I am a senior and at first I was thrilled that the G Assistant had closed captioning but does not for everything else, not even the news. The whole GUI is an unintuitive, error prone, and clunky mess. The light-weight display is fine unless you try to "double tap to activate" an icon = it has too much give and is difficult to "double tap". It reminds me of the Pixel 6 fingerprint reader issues. I've also asked the Assistant to STOP when it was speaking and received a warning about my Sonos Roam ...

Excellent so far

Very easy to set up. Added a Bose Bluetooth speaker and a Nest Audio speaker. Combined my Nest Hub Max and my Nest Hub into the audio group.

I love this device!

This Google hub max does all the things I would expect it to do. It has great dashboards, picture quality, digital photo frame, etc.The only reason I'm taking a star off is because when I ask Google to do something, both this device and the mini speakers in the other rooms speak up and try to answer it along with my phone. Max hub

So easy to setup, replaced our Alexa.Alexa needed us to speak loud to it, this doesn't.Sound us way better and much more home comfortable.A very pleasant change.Also, it connects to our many home devices with ease.

Sucks for recipes

The main reason my wife and I wanted this was to help us in the kitchen with recipes. Searching for anything on this device is horrendous. Allegedly you're supposed to be able to send recipes from your phone to it. The only way to do that is to search Google on my phone and hope it has a "Cook" button under it. My wife's phone does not have this button even though her account is also associated with this device. In summary, if you want this thing for recipes, do not purchase.
