Great study storage system for any garage

Pain to hang, but amazing product, very heavy and probably impossible for one person to install, but once installed holds a ton of stuff and seems built to last.

A Nice Storage Addition to our Garage

I'm really happy with the GearLoft. The installation instructions were straightforward and it's a really sturdy unit. They recommend at least two people when it comes to mounting it to the ceiling. That's certainly the best way to do it, but I was able to do it myself by getting creative with a couple of step ladders.

Great for bulky items

Out of the box the corner was bent but the support bracket assembled with no problem. I like the real estate it frees up in my garage and it is very sturdy.

Good Storage

This is high quality storage. It is really a two person project trying to install this shelving. It is very strong which explains it may be heavier then other shelving. Unique design did make the installation easier then could have been. Would definitely buy and use again if the need arises.

This item is great....wish I had room for another one and get more off the garage floor !!!

Easy to set up, works as promised

I was cautious of what others talked about its not installed sturdily with the screws that it came with. My observation was rather different: 2 things to take notice of 1. I had to buy extra nuts to put the racks together, bring the size to lowes and they found the exact piece. 2. The instructions tell us to put the rack together first, but in order to put it up, its better to put up one piece at a time or it would be too big making it difficult. My boyfriend was able to put this up by himself ...

DO NOT BUY

do not waste your money on these. we bought 2 boxes. both boxes are missing parts, they are also super flimsy, cheap chinese garbage at best. don't waste your money

It takes at least 5 people to this. I was grateful to have the extra hands it took to hang. My garage had a complete makeover with just installing two of these,

Best I've ever bought!

I have instaled three different brands of overhead racks in two different houses. And this one is easily the best. From the packaging to including a drill bit. It's far more rigid than the others and easier to install. I wisk I would have used Gladiator first. I had zero issues with the lag bolts, and I doubt you will either as long as you predrill like the instructions say.

Missing bolts in package

8 of the bolts that hold it together were missing so installers went back to Lowes who didn't carry the exact bolts and get some replacements.

Read Before Buying

Product is well built. Instructions are so simple, it makes the reader stupid. I looked at the information, my son looked at the information, my son-in law who previously installed similar products looked at the information...and duh. After drilling a dozen useless holes in the ceiling I finally gave in and hired a handyman. It took him 5 hours to install by himself. I would say allow yourself 5 hours to install the first unit and if you have additional units allow 2 hours each. Lowe's was v...
