Not a quality product

I have owned this product for a little over a month. It has leaked from the top of the handle from the beginning. It now has cracked and is leaking from the base of the nozzle. This would be a great product if it didn't have leaks and now cracks. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this product.

Nozzle Mini Wand

This wand has the easiest on/off feature of any we have seen. My wife suffers from arthritis and the lever is very easy for her to use. The multi-patterns are easy to change and the shape lends itself to easy water direction. Best device that I have seen for watering a flower garden as well as spot watering a lawn.

broke right away

Farquar1000 is dead on. I hadn't had this mini wand more than a month when the red plastic collar on the curved part of the device failed and made it inoperable. The collar keeps the pipe flush with the handle and hose, but it just can't take the water pressure and so it cracks even with gentle use. You would think that if they are going to design it with an unscrewable extending pipe that unattaches from both ends--so its completely and easily replaceable, then they would sell a replacement par...

Great Nozzle

This is the best nozzle I've ever had. I've had about 10 other ones prior to this one and they all have broken. This one, however, is sturdy and was a great price. It has all the features that I need: bucket filler, shower, etc. I purchased a second one for a family member.

Great Wand!

This is the second time I have purchased this device. The only reason I had to repurchase it was a service guy came to the house and stepped on the first one and broke it. It is reliable and great quality.

Like the wand

I do like the wand, however I find it does leak a bit when you turn the valve off. It seems the fitting is not real tight.

Fatally flawed

Valve is terrific. Easy to use one-handed, shuts off completely. Until one of the cheapo (red) plastic nuts, that hold the metal tube, fail. Which they will. Unfortunately, this unit, 217SWGF, is not even listed on the Gilmour (manufacturer) site. There is no repair kit, no spare parts, no manufacturer responsibility, and after a year of use, no recourse. I suppose this is an item discontinued by Gilmour and sold at discount to Lowe's, or a version of a Gilmour unit manufactured exclusively for ...

Great nozzle wand!

This is perfect for my flower garden, as well as having many other settings for different uses.

AS advertised

This wand is easy to use, fits well into my small hand & has a great variety of water sprays.

WATCH FOR LEAK

i LOVE THE DESIGN AND HOW IT FITS YOUR HAND WHEN WATERING LARGE AREAS. WITH THAT SAID THE FIRST ONE I PURCHASED SHOT WATER OUT IN TWO PLACES AND I WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE LEAKS, THINKING THE CONNECTIONS WERE NOT TIGHT. i RETURNED IT AND THE SECOND ONE WORKS FINE BUT I TOOK A BATH WITH THE FIRST ONE (LITERALLY). Does the job

No indication for on or off. I marked the off position and that works fine. It took two washers to stop the leaking when hooking up to a hose. No leaking now when I added the second washer. I'm happy with it now.

easy to use and does not feel cheap

The wand has a good weight to it and doesn't feel cheap. There is good flow and a range of adjustable nozzle patterns.

Good idea - poorly built

The product is not built in a manner to prevent leaks. The one I bought leaks at the head and in the middle above the handle. I really liked the design and ease of using. If you don't mine getting wet as you use it then go ahead and buy. I personnally like to stay dry. I've had mine less than a week and it is on the counter ready to be returned.

Disappointed

I have two of these wands, purchased at different times. Both have suffered the same failure. They appear to be well made, and when new perform well. However, over a season or two, the red plastic collars at each end of the tube will crack. This is not from abuse, but the use of non-UV resistant plastic for these pieces. not durable

The first one we got leaked more and more with each use but we exchanged it for exact same product and this one has held up at least a week so far

Had to replace my old one..and came across this gem. Love the handle and the extension.
